Blanchisseuse is a fishing village located on the North Coast of Trinidad. Our camping event showcases the best that the area of Blanchisseuse has to offer. You will enjoy complimentary seasonal fruit and local breakfast, lunch and dinner provided by a local cook from the village. You will also enjoy comfortable accommodation with a large, spacious tent and firm air mattress. Beach chairs and snack tables are provided for dining during the event. Located 2 minutes away from the campsite, is the Marianne River which you can go to enjoy a refreshing swim or go kayaking. You can also hike further up-river to Three Pools, a large natural emerald swimming pool. During the months of March through July, Leatherback Turtles make their way to Blanchisseuse Beach at nightfall to lay their eggs in the sand. This is an excellent time for turtle-watching.

What To Expect

During your camping event, you have the opportunity to kayak or swim in the nearby Marianne River, go on a hike to the emerald natural swimming pool known as Three Pools, sunbathe at Blanchisseuse Beach, roast marshmallows on a bonfire, enjoy a local dinner & breakfast and even spot Leatherback Turtles coming ashore at nightfall during nesting season (March through July)

This was an awesome experience. The organizers took responsibility for setting up camp and so we were free to roam the beach, chat or we just engaged in relaxing activities. I highly recommend this experience if you are looking to unwind and get back in touch with yourself and nature!

Kavita and hubby were excellent guides and facilitators. For a group of persons who never went camping before (my family of 3 young children, myself and my husband), they were very accommodating in ensuring our maximum comfort and adjustment to a new environment. All our children loved the full experience, from the tent set up, to the campfire smores roasting, to the dinner and breakfast made by locals in the area. The joy of having to pile 3 young ones into a car to drive a great distance to camp outdoors and only having to carry our clothing and bare necessities was truly a non-stressful and exhilarating experience for us all. They did it all for us! Would definitely recommend to anyone willing to try it, or try it again with a very friendly and welcoming group of people.

Will definitely return! The ambiance, food and friendliness was awesome. I was most concerned about how comfortable we will sleep however tent fans along with air mattresses were provided which made for a good nights rest.
