This private photo session is about telling your story against the backdrop of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery. Whether you’re celebrating an engagement, an anniversary, or simply want unique travel photos, your local female photographer will offer gentle prompts so your interactions feel natural and effortless. During your session we’ll explore a mix of Queenstown’s signature locations and a few lesser known spots that offer jaw dropping views of the mountains and Lake Wakatipu. Shoots are often planned for the “golden hour” – just after sunrise or just before sunset – when the light is soft and warm, giving everything a natural glow. You’ll walk away with a collection of images that tell a story and evoke memories long after your trip is over.

5 Months Later, Still No Photos from Our Pre-Wedding + Family Photoshoot with Aiste

1.00We engaged this photographer for a couple’s photoshoot with additional family shots on 1 November 2025, and made full payment upfront based on her many stellar reviews. During the shoot, she was warm, enthusiastic, and professional. We spent about 7 hours together in challenging weather conditions, and were genuinely excited about how the photos would turn out. However, the post-shoot experience has been extremely disappointing. We were initially told that the full set of photos would be delivered within 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, she became uncontactable for nearly 2.5 months after the shoot. She eventually resurfaced with a small number of preview images, but then went silent again for another 2 months. It has now been over 5 months, and we have still not received the full set of photos. Most concerning is that we have not seen a single family photo, which was a key part of why we booked this session. Our family is understandably very disappointed, especially given the time and effort spent during the shoot. The lack of communication and failure to deliver on agreed timelines have significantly overshadowed what could have been a great experience. We have contacted her via Instagram (where initial comms was made), Whatsapp, email and her site form but with radio silence from all. We thought it was possible that something dreadful might have happened to her, but heard from friends that she is still responding to new potential clients. Given the complete absence of communication and full payment has already been made, but we don't appear any closer to receiving our photos, we are considering to file a police report by the end of this month. We hope she can resolve this soon, but based on our experience, we would strongly advise future clients to exercise caution.

5.00We engaged Aiste for a few hours of photo shoot around Queenstown, which included a surprise proposal. It was an intimate, relaxing and fun session. Being our first photoshoot, we were awkward around the cameras, not knowing how to pose properly. Aiste patiently guided us and made us feel very comfortable! Aiste also helped to suggest a location for the proposal, which turned out to be stunning!! At the end of the day, we had a great time and it was an amazing first photoshoot experience for us. The photos turned out to be exceptional as well, and we were extremely satisfied with how it turned out. Aiste did a fantastic job and we would not hesitate to engage her services once again.

5.00If you need a photographer on the south island around Queenstown and Wanaka, you can honestly stop looking - just go with Aiste! Whether for a photo shoot or as a tour guide, I can't recommend her highly enough. Not only is she highly professional, well prepared and organised, easy to deal with, and provides great value for money, she's also a wonderful person to be around. I've dealt with project managers on multi-million dollar projects that were less organised and less prepared for their jobs! We first met Aiste when we undertook her guided astro photography tour in June 2021. We did a few photo tours with different guides, but she was so professional, easy to deal with, and committed to making sure we had a great experience (including staying late to teach us some great tips and tricks for post processing our shots with Lightroom) that when we later got married at Edgewater in Wanaka and needed a wedding photographer in the Queenstown / Wanaka / Arrowtown area (Otago region) she was our first choice, and a great choice it was! She happily provided transport for us for our wedding shoot (and the earlier astro photography tour) in her luxury Range Rover. She took us to some of the most gorgeous hidden spots, places we never would have been or found on our own. She has a very keen eye - her framing and composition are spot on, and her standards for herself and her work are very high, and she's a great photographer. It's clear that she really loves what she does, and is a great teacher too! I genuinely feel like we owe her more than she charged us both times we have hired her! Thanks for being awesome Aiste! Keep it up :)

5.00We booked Aiste to do a family photoshoot in Queenstown, and what an amazing experience it was, this was our first ever family photoshoot with 4 children under 10 so as you can image we were all very nervous and did not know what to expect, and WOW, Aiste went above and beyond, she was so lovely and patient with my children and let them do their own thing, she also took us to some epic locations with breath taking views, we received our photos and I cried they were beautiful and we love them so much, I HIGHLY recommend Aiste as your next photographer you will not be dissapointed. 5.00We contacted Aiste very last minute and she was so accommodating. She actually did a family session for us - my husband, me, and our kids ages 15, 12 and 10. Despite the unbelievable WIND, Aiste captured some gorgeous photos that literally took my breath away. She got some great posed and candid shots that really brought out the personalities of each of our children. She was excellent to work with, communicated quickly and was fun during the session. I highly recommend Aiste for your family Queenstown photo session!
