Private Tours are designed to allow you to discover the D-Day sites in optimal conditions. Each circuit is indeed preceded by a "briefing" which will allow us first of all to get to know each other, then to contextualize the events of June 6, 1944. This moment may also be an opportunity for you to express specific requests. For example linked to the story of a member of your family who fought in Normandy.
The "small group" format also allows you to adapt the pace of the visit to your own needs and desires.
If the price of admission to the museums is not included in the price, the circuits are however designed to allow you to take advantage of this opportunity and to devote approximately one hour to the visit of one of these (you benefit from the reduced rate granted to Memory Tracks).

To begin our discovery of Omaha beach, we will first position ourselves on the heights which dominate the beach, at its eastern end. You will then benefit from an extraordinary point of view over the 7 kilometers of Omaha and we will then discuss in detail the operations that took place there on June 6, 1944. Then, secondly, we will reach the beach that you can browse freely, at your own pace, a few tens of meters from the German position coded "Wn62", which dominates this beach sector.
Widerstandsnest 62
The "Widerstandnest 62" is a German fortified position which, on June 6, 1944, resisted the assault of the men of the 116th Infantry Regiment of the United States until the beginning of the afternoon. Unfortunately, it caused many victims among the GIs, many of whom have been resting since then, a few hundred meters away, in the American military cemetery at Colleville.

We spent an incredible full day touring Normandy with Franck Gobert, and it was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip to France. Franck is not just a guide — he’s a gifted storyteller, a passionate historian, and a proud local who brings this sacred ground to life in a way that’s both educational and deeply moving. From the moment he greeted us, we knew we were in great hands. He led us through the D-Day beaches, the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, the museums, and countless important landmarks — weaving in stories, personal insights, and local perspective that made every stop unforgettable. What stood out most was Franck’s genuine connection to the region and his ability to make history feel alive. He balanced emotion with expertise perfectly — sharing details about the battles, the soldiers, and the local families who lived through the occupation and liberation. He was patient, engaging, and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. By the end of the day, we didn’t just learn history — we felt it. If you’re planning a visit to Normandy and want an authentic, heartfelt, and truly memorable experience, Franck Gobert is the guide you want. Absolutely five stars — and we couldn’t recommend him more highly!

We consider our day-long tour with Franck to be the most valuable of our experiences in France. We gained so much knowledge about the details of D-Day which we would not have gleaned by just exploring on our own. Franck is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and kind. He was flexible and listened to our specific preferences, presenting us with multiple options along the way. He made our time in Normandy more enjoyable and meaningful.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful morning tour with Franck touring Pointe du Hoc and Omaha beach! He was very knowledgeable and passionate about all of the sites and was adaptable to whatever we wanted to see, giving us multiple options throughout. For example, when he heard of our son’s interest in code-breaking and the Enigmas of WWII, he suggested a detour to a museum which had an authentic Enigma. Leading up to the tour, Franck was very responsive and helpful. We would 100% highly recommend taking one of Franck’s tours!

Franck is highly educated and passionate about the events leading up to, during and following the D-Day invasion. He is native to the area and the tour was very informative. He tailored the trip to our interests and took us to a local museum run by a local collector/discoverer of WWII relics, which was unconventional but more interesting to us than typical historical museums. But most importantly, Franck is a delight with a genuinely kind and interesting personality. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Best of many we took in France.

We spent two days on a private tour with Franck. Prior to arrival, we were unsure exactly what we wanted to see in Normandy. Since this was a first trip, all we knew we wanted to see as much as we possibly could. We discussed our ideas with Franck prior to arrival and went along with his recommendations. We were not disappointed. Franck quickly saw the passion and interest in my husband and son, he went over and above. Each day, the three were completely engaged in discussions from morning to evening. With every stop along the way, some stops part of the original plan and some not part of the original plan but added on from the discussions, we were all completely engaged. Our only disappointment was that Franck was already committed the third day we were in town and we had to make other plans! You won't be sorry if you spend your time with Franck. He made our time very memorable, we highly recommend. We are a family of 4, kids age 18 and 20 and you know how hard it is to keep them interested!

We had a fantastic day with Franck touring Pont du Hoc, Normandy beaches and the cemetery’s and last the lovely town of bayeaux. Franck is incredibly personable and kind. He layed out our full day tour perfectly telling the story of D day like we were there. He helped us understand the plan, the problems the troops encountered, what they achieved and how - as well as the feeling they may have felt as they had to continue to reengineer their attack as plans failed. It was incredible perspective. Our day was rainy and windy and he was also prepared with ponchos. It was a truly special day due to Francks expertise!

Our guide, Franck, gave us the very best imaginable tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and it was a real joy to be toured by someone so obviously interested in the subject as he is. Franck was very kind and friendly. He was very patient, and also a great driver. We came to visit to honour our father/grandfather who fought here on D-Day, and Franck helped us truly appreciate the dimension of this historical moment’s horror and the bravery. It was a very special and touching tour. We plan to have another tour with him as soon as we’re back in Normandie, and recommend his tours highly!

We had a wonderful day with our tour guide, Franck, on June 5th. Franck was incredibly knowledgeable about the local areas, the battles that took place and the geography of the area that added to or impacted the allies on the day. He gave us loads of time at each stop. We never felt under pressure for time and his aim seemed to be to ensure we got to see everything in our wish list

Frank is an extremely knowledgeable guide; many of his family members suffered during WWII, motivating him to learn the history and hidden areas tour buses never visit. If you want a highly knowledgeable guide of the upmost integrity, book this tour!
