We had a fantastic experience with Star Tours Oman, especially with our guide Fauzi. From the very beginning he was incredibly friendly, positive and highly motivated. Throughout the day he shared a lot about Omani culture and food, which made the whole tour very interesting and enjoyable. During Ramadan he even shared his iftar with us, which was a very kind gesture and something we never forget. Our first stop was Wadi Bani Khalid, which was absolutely beautiful. The water was crystal clear and pleasantly warm, and the scenery was simply stunning. Afterwards we drove into the desert dunes, which was a lot of fun. At one point we even had a spontaneous long-jump competition in the sand dunes, and I have to admit that Fauzi completely beat me – it was great fun and we laughed a lot. Fauzi is a wonderful guide: very knowledgeable, interested, and with a great sense of humor. He made the entire day relaxed, enjoyable and memorable. I can highly recommend Star Tours Oman, and especially Fauzi as a guide.

We had an unforgettable day exploring Wadi Bani Khalid and the sand dunes sunset thanks to our wonderful guide Mohammed Aljabri. From the very beginning, he made us feel safe, welcome, and completely at ease. His driving was excellent, which really matters on these mountain and sand dunes, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy the incredible scenery. What made the experience truly special was his personality and knowledge. He shared fascinating stories and insights about Oman, local traditions, and the landscape, all delivered with a great sense of humor that kept us smiling throughout the day. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and making the trip fun and relaxed. He was also incredibly attentive and caring, always making sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and enjoying the experience, and he was quick to help whenever needed. This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Oman, and much of that is thanks to such a knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely enjoyable guide. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to discover Wadi Bani Khalid in the best possible way.

The Wadi is interesting to see, if nothing else to see the difference water can make in a desert. Now we know how an oasis can exist give a reliable source of water. The desert was equally interesting though we saw only its edge. The dunes are huge—far larger than we imagined. Our guide, Khalil is what made the 5 hours of traveling there and back worthwhile. We learned about Omani culture, the landmarks along the way, and the local lifestyle. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Further, he indulged our interest in finding a restaurant that served camel as a dish.

Interesting trip with Khalid who told us more about Oman and the culture. Long journey (3 hours) to Wadi Bani Khalid where we swam in the amazing pools amongst enormous rocks. Then an hours drive to Wahiba sands where we saw camels and had a 4WD up the dunes to watch the lovely sunset. Khalid looked after us well and we enjoyed seeing and experiencing more of the country.

First of all, we want to thank our guide Ahmed who was a phenomenally kind, patient and informative guide for us. My wife, mum and 10 month old baby really enjoyed this fantastic whole day experience. We were picked up Muscat and driven to Wadi Bani Khalid with stops along the way to show us a few historic sites, including souqs and the oldest bridge in Oman. Once we reached the Wadi, we explored for as long as we liked, and then drove a little further for a buffet lunch near the desert. When we reached the desert, we stopped off to explore a Bedouin market selling many different Omani souvenirs. We also took photos with the camels too! Others also enjoyed a camel ride but given we had a baby, decided against this option. Afterwards, we drove a little further into the desert and stopped off waiting for the sunset, which was incredible. All in all, a really enjoyable experience made all the better by our guide Ahmed. We would very highly recommend this tour.
