What To Expect
Come with us to live the thrilling experience of hiking on an Icelandic Glacier. Your guide will meet you on the parking lot and take care of gearing you up with glacier equipment: Helmet, harness, iceAxe and crampons. After a short walk, he will tell you everything about glaciers, and how to walk safely on them. Doing this as a private tour guarantees you an intimate experience. Not being part of a bigger group allows your guide to take you to more remote places on the glacier when always walking at your very own rhythm. This is the experience of a lifetime, that will leave you with your best memory in Iceland.

5.00We arranged a family glacier hike while we were staying in Iceland and it was without doubt one of the best things we have done as a family. From the moment we booked, Julien the founder at Lilja Tours, was exceptionally responsive and helpful to any questions that we had ahead of the trip. Wei was our guide on the day and that man truly loves what he does and was so knowledgeable about Iceland's outdoors. We were exceptionally fortunate to be paired with him. We are already planning to come back again and will be sure to contact Julien and Wei to head out on another adventure. Fully recommended

5.00We were a diverse group with varying abilities which ranged from a 5 year old to an leg amputee. Jon made the glacier hike not only accessible to all but enjoyable. He both went at our pace and pushed us along to explore the glacier. It was a trilling experience. We even saw and heard the glacier calf while there. A truly memorable and joyful glacier hike. The children loved mining for glacier diamonds and we all got to enjoy drinking like a viking and taking in the wonder of being on a glacier.

5.00Clément, our Francophone Guide (also an exceptional photographer), made us live, safely and adapting perfectly to our group (2 adutes, 5 teenagers between 12 and 19 years old), a moment of magic and unforgettable. Perfectly listening to us, he took the time to answer our questions and pass on his passion for the place. This excursion with Lilja must be planned when you come to Iceland, you will keep unforgettable memories. Our only regret, not having chosen a longer excursion to go far in the adventure on this glacier 😉
