At 08:00am your English speaking guide meets you in the lobby of your Amman hotel. He will walk you to the vehicle and together drive about 2 hours in the north to Umm Quais.

UMm Qays Archeological Site

Umm Quais was a centre of Greek culture with many poets and philosophers living here. It is believed to be the biblical location where Jesus cast devils into swine, which drowned themselves in the waters of Lake Tiberias. The guide will tell you about the changeful history of this place while wandering along the colonnaded street and viewing the two theatres. Enjoy wonderful views of the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights.

My wife and I did the day tour to Umm Quais and Jerash with guide Ishaq and driver Tayseer both were incredible. Always felt safe in car with Tayseer he provided a great experience. Ishaq was knowledgeable on all sites, provided great insight to all the historical complexities behind each site and the intersecting historical periods that dominated both sites. Thankful for the experience from both.

We had such a lovely day with Tayseer, our driver, who took us from Amman, up to Quais, a pit stop at Ajloun Castle and final tour of the Jerash Ruins. The sites themselves got better and better, as did the tour guides at each stop. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a day trip to see and learn about some ruins! Tayseer himself was incredibly kind (he let my friend who was feeling car sick ride in the front, and helped us buy some medicine). He also gave us some nice insight on the sites we were driving by. And he brought us to his favorite spice shop (of which we bought most of them!). The car itself was clean, a hybrid (always a plus) and equipped with great wifi throughout the entire tour. If you book this tour, ask for Tayseer!

We love everything about this tour. Our tour guide Osma was very knowledgeable of history and he shared with us proudly of his country. Scenery were beautiful. Both driver and tour guide were professional and they goes above and beyond to make our trip a memorable experience. Our driver Mohammed were very good driver. He constantly cleaning his vehicle to ensure cleanliness for us. Lunch was fantastic with fresh salad and grilled chicken. Food served was plentiful to serve an Army! We has an opportunity to watched how bread were made before serve to us fresh. Thank you Mohammed and Osma for wonderful time. Thank you Viator!!! I know we made the right choice in choosing Viator for this wonderful tour.
