#Itsaboutthejourney - Our hike is in the midst of the beauty and biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest, the route is part of an unpaved road, part of trails that require resistance and physical preparation. With many attractions along the way, such as the viewpoint of Curva da Morte ☠, Poço dos Soldados, stone pavement (made by enslaved people and widely used in the 19th century), Caxadaço beach, a small paradisiacal beach with crystal clear water very inviting to the practice of snorkeling that is hidden behind a huge wall of rocks that makes it invisible to those who sail even close to the coast, for this reason it was often used by pirates and slave ships for the trafficking of enslaved people.
To complete this spectacular walk, we arrived at Lopes Mendes a wild beach that is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world where we will have free time to enjoy this earthly paradise.

It is a walk of about 20 min where most of it is on a climb but can be done quietly. I crossed paths with monkeys!!! And when I get to Lopez a beauty! It is a beach with waves and open ocean! Keep in mind tb you can surf! Beautiful!

A walk very well prepared by the team Isla Grande Hiking. Location equipment, first aid, good guidance for the preparation for the trails are a differential of the team. I recommend doing the track with good physical preparation, as it is of heavy level. Team Hiking note 10

I recommend the walk from Abraao to López Méndez, middle level, with escaped climbs, roots, stones and quite a lot of mud in the jungle area of the route. You pass three beaches before you reach your destination. You have to leave early if you want to do it back and forth, it takes two to three hours one way, more if you stop at the beautiful beaches through which the road passes. Another option is to make a stretch, round trip and return or go by taxi boat at a modest price. It is well signposted, or when you hesitate, ask as you always cross any walker. Yes or if comfortable shoes and stockings. The first time I did it with Crocs, I do not recommend it at all. Carry plenty of water, although you can buy it at one of the Paradores on one of the previous beaches. Getting to Lopez is priceless. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Brazil, a country that I know its extent.

Great company to explore and discover the island. (Ilha Grande). I would recommend the tours you spend at least one night out. Parnaioca, Aventureiro, Caxadaco, Lopes Mendes are must to see places on the Island.
