Obando Archaeological Park

Just a few kilometers from the Magdalena Straight is the small town of Obando, where we will see some tombs similar to the ones in the Tierradentro Archaeological Park in Cauca, as well as a small museum that exhibits items even older than the ones found in San Agustin. The most famous of them is perhaps the goldsmith piece "Winged Fish", of which a replica is preserved in this museum, since the original was transferred to the Gold Museum of Bogota.

The order of the activities was a bit mixed up. We went to the place with Ziplining and theme park too early and had to wait for it to open. The historical sites are great.
Wonderful experience with beautiful nature and archaeological statues!

The jeep tour with Chaska Tours allows for excellent exploration of the surrounding area, while the guide allows enough time for each stop at the sights. Archaeological parks such as Obando and the Estrecho de Magdalena are just as impressive as the competent guide, who is not only informative but also extremely knowledgeable. It was also no problem to stop at a local market and visit it at short notice. With in-depth insights into the history and culture of the region, each stage of the tour becomes an educational experience. The tour is excellently organized overall, the scenery is breathtaking, and the opportunity to visit so many remarkable places in one day makes the experience truly fantastic. I can fully recommend Chaska Tours if you are looking for an unforgettable trip through the treasures of San Agustín!

The jeep tour is a great way to explore the area. The guide gives you plenty of time at each of the sights and we started at a gigantic waterfall where I flew over the giant valley on a zipline, which was an absolute highlight for me. But the archaeological parks, Obando and the Estrecho de Magdalena are also definitely worth a visit!

I had the pleasure of experiencing a private jeep tour with Chaska Tours and it was absolutely incredible! The tour took me to fascinating archaeological sites and natural treasures such as Estrecho de Magdalena, Obando Archaeological Park, Parque Arqueológico Alto de los Ídolos, Altos de las Piedras and the stunning Salto del Mortiño. The entire experience was well organized and informative. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to tell me a lot about the history and culture of the area. The scenery was breathtaking and being able to visit so many remarkable places in one day was fantastic. I highly recommend Chaska Tours if you are looking for an unforgettable trip through San Augustin's treasures!

If your preference is the San Agustin culture I can highly recommend this jeep tour. Every "parque archeologico" has statues which are a bit different from those you have already seen. But also the waterfall and the "estrecho de rio magdalena" are absolutely impressing. The driver was very nice and reliable and the car in a good condition. A basic spanish is sufficient for the comunication.
