What To Expect
Lourdes
We will pick you up early in the morning and begin a 2-hour drive to Lourdes. Don’t worry the time will fly! During the journey your guide will give you an introduction of the history of the region and local traditions. Lourdes is a lovely medieval town that has become a second most significant Catholic pilgrimage site in the world after the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous at various times in summer 1858. Since then, every year the sanctuaries of Lourdes located on the banks of the Gave de Pau river attract millions of visitors. On arrival, the guide will explain you the most important sites in Lourdes including: The Crypt, decorated with magnificent stained glass windows Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, designed Romano-Byzantine style Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and underground Basilica of St Pius X.
Sanctuaire Notre Dame De Lourdes
You’ll immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere of the Religious Town and visit the Massabielle Grotto where Bernadette experienced all the 18 apparitions. There is a possibility to try water from the springs or collect it in containers. During the 4-hour stay in Lourdes we will find time to discover the key sights, find time for a prayer and a mass. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is open all year round but the ceremonies timetable varies according to the time of year so please ask us for details.

5.00Our trip to the Sanctuary of Lourdes was simply wonderful, and much of it we owe to our guide, Diego. We do not have enough words to describe or thank you for your warm, professional, detailed and welcoming way of accompanying us throughout the tour. It was a totally private and intimate trip, in which, from the way, Diego explained with a lot of knowledge and sensitivity the stories of each place we were passing through. Thanks to him, we not only visited the Shrine, but also deeply understood its significance. We even had the opportunity to see where Santa Bernardette was born, which was very special and emotional. Diego is one of those people who make you feel confident, like you've known him all your life, almost like someone in the family. We recommend this tour with your eyes closed. It is not just a visit, it is a spiritual, cultural and human experience that stays in the heart. Thank you, Diego, for making this trip so memorable.

5.00It was a significant and beautiful day at Lourdes… A bit over a two hour drive from San Sebastian but all worth it. Our guide Gorka did an excellent job briefing us on all the details and made the day a memorable one. He not only shared many Interesting facts about Lourdes' history but also gave us the space needed for our own praying and meditation. What a wonderful experience it all was!

5.00I booked a private tour to Lourdes for my 90-year-old uncle and his wife. They fulfilled their dream of visiting the sanctuary and attending the torchlit procession. Ernesto, the guide, accompanied and cared for them with great dedication. Extremely professional, punctual, trained and friendly, but above all I would like to highlight the affection and enthusiasm of the entire team.

He drove very well and was most informative about the history of Pais Vasco. He knowledge about Lourdes was equally impressive. Should we avail of your tours in the near future, we would insist on Marcelo.

5.00Martin was our guide for a truly memorable experience. He was on time. The van we went in was very comfortable and spacious. Martin was an excellent driver. Martin told us so much about the Basques, the region, customs, history, etc. It made our travel time go faster. He was knowledgeable about the history of Lourdes and was respectful of the time we wanted to spend praying in the different cathedrals. The restaurant he chose for lunch was good and it was nice to have an opportunity to visit with him while eating.

5.00This trip was exclusively to visit Our Lady of Lourdes on our 38th wedding anniversary. Dani (Daniel) was our tour guide and he was exceptional! He arrived to our hotel on time, was courteous, friendly, very knowledgeable. Our Lady Of Lourdes was amazing and the Grotto was beautiful. This experience is life changing and having a great tour guide made it the best it could be. Thank you and highly recommend this tour with Dani.
