What To Expect
Rupit
Your first stop is Rupit, a beautifully preserved stone village with roots that trace to the 16th century. With your hiking boots on, follow your guide on a walk through the village’s winding, cobblestone streets, and then make your way up into the Pyrenean foothills. Hike for roughly 2.5 hours at a leisurely pace, taking in dramatic views of the mountain scenery that surrounds you. The route includes stops at several vantage points, allowing you to catch your breath and ogle the scenery. A majestic waterfall, measuring some 360 feet (120 meters) high, is sure to be a highlight of your hike; have your camera ready to capture the sight of the cascading water, flanked by cliff and valley views. Finish your walk at a centuries-old restaurant, where a 3-course Catalan feast awaits. Dig in to plates such as pork sausage with white beans, and then relax on your journey back to Barcelona. Your tour finishes with a drop-off at the start point.

5.00Our guide Sam was phenomenal. At the end of October, the weather was perfect and there were almost no tourists in the town. Rupit is beautiful and the hike was moderate. Best for people who can hike up and down and on uneven surfaces. The restaurant we ate at after the hike was exceptional.

5.00My husband actually booked this excursion. I read previous reviews and it sounded like a nice way to get out of Barcelona and see the countryside. Antoine is an excellent guide and we had a great time hiking up and down and up and down on rocky paths, stairs, steps, across streams etc. as he pointed out trees, plants, views and whatever else we needed to know about along the way. I will say this is most definitely a HIKE and I would not recommend it unless you are prepared be climbing on uneven terrain with obstacles. My husband and I are 67 years old we did this however were challenged at times. The scenery along the way is beautiful and being on top of a mountain is quite an amazing experience. We had a very nice breakfast before our hike and a very filling lunch afterwards. We thank you, Antoine for a wonderful day with you!

5.00This is the highlight of our Barcelona stay. Having been here before twice, we decided to get out of the hustle and bustle city and what a pleaant surprise for us. Mariela, our guide, is just amazing. She's so knowledgeable with a passion for this trip. The hike was so amazing and we have shifted some serious calories 😅. The views were just out of this world. We finished our tour with the most scrumptious 3 course Catalunya food with good wine and liquor. Thank you Mariela for making this such a memorable day for us xx

5.00One of our favourite tours of our 5 week trip. Craig our guide was awesome, he obviously loves his job and is very knowledgable about the areas. Views were stunning and the lunch at the end in Rupit just topped off a really fun day. Would highly recommend this tour.

5.00We had a fantastic day - real highlight of our 4 days Barcelona to get out to country side.. our tour guide Antoine was brilliant, a lovely French guy who was extremely knowledgeable on allot of European history, not just Spain.. we had a lovely day with him, and taking us to eat very traditional food up in the mountains that we had not tasted or experienced in the city… we were fortunate to be the only people on the tour that day, so extra lucky… totally recommend…

5.00My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our hike with guides Mariela and Sam. We discussed the history of the area from the days of Franco to the present and learned much about Catalunya during our van ride. The village was lovely, breakfast and lunch were delicious and we loved learning about and tasting the traditional foods, and the hike was really nice with absolutely gorgeous views. It was a pleasure to spend the day with our guides, who by the end of the day felt like friends to us.
