My daughters and I went to Yucatan for the second time and we wanted to visit Chichen Iztá, the previous time it was closed and they didn’t open it on our whole trip, so this time it was very important for us to choose the best tour company. Travelezza helped us put together the trip and yesterday was unforgettable, we visited the Suytun cenote which is a must, then we ate delicious in Valladolid and went last to Chichen Iztá, it was a magical visit, our guide super knowledgeable of history, and the time he chose for our visit was perfect, there were very few people and at 4:30 we managed to see the light and shadow effect of the feathered snake coming down the castle of kukulcan, a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this private tour company for your visit to Yucatan, Luisa very friendly helped us define every detail and everything went perfect 100% recommended!

I recommend Travelezza for the tour to Chichen Itza and Valladolid. From the start, the service was impeccable. Our guide, Gabriel, was exceptional: he had an in-depth knowledge of Mayan history and culture, and conveyed every detail clearly and entertainingly. He answered all our questions with patience and enthusiasm, making the experience even more enriching. In Chichen Itza, he showed us fascinating places and gave us information that allowed us to appreciate the site even more. Then, in Valladolid, we explore the colonial city and its vibrant local culture, a stop full of history. Everything was well organized, the transportation was comfortable and the Travelezza team showed great professionalism. Undoubtedly, an unforgettable experience that I recommend to those who seek to know the true essence of the Yucatan Peninsula. Thanks for everything!

This is an absolutely fantastic tour! We really appreciated how Blanca, our tour guide, told us about Maya history and stories as we were driving and then showed us the different symbols at Chichen Itza. Her explanations really made the whole experience come alive. We also were grateful for Juan, our driver, who made us feel very safe the whole trip and also found us bathrooms when we needed them on the way home. We loved the cenote that we stopped by after seeing Chichen Itza. It was so beautiful and relaxing. Our stop in Valladolid was also very beautiful. And we enjoyed the delicious gelato. Great tour! Absolutely would recommend!

We did the private tour which was worth it. They allowed us to chose our meeting time and with their recommendation we decided to leave at 6 A.M. The ride was about 1 hr and 50 mins. There is no bathroom area on the way there, but there are on the way back. I strongly suggest being well hydrated starting the day before prior to heading out in the June heat. Yes to having comfortable loose clothing along with a large hat to provide shade as there is little to no shade when walking. Light colored clothing was a lifesaver for me. I wore long sleeve cotton shirt with gym shoes. It made walking in the heat bearable. If one is to go during rainy season I would definitely recommend rain boots and having a plastic bag to change shoes when getting into the car. There were various sellers at the site which thankfully they weren’t rude or pushy and if you showed no interest you would be left alone. There is a restroom at the entrance or within the site which has no AC, so expect to sweat. I wished I had a cotton handkerchief to wipe my face instead of using my clothes or hand. As for our tour guide, Gabriel, he was so kind and incredibly knowledgeable. He was always punctual and patient towards us and our needs. He made us feel comfortable and at ease. His vehicle was very clean and had great air conditioning which is a must when the heat topped over 100 degrees Fahrenheit daily. He wore a required uniform with long black sleeves which I’m shocked they would require any guide to wear. Just to show how much by the rules he went by. He was always professional. He made us feel we had a new friend. After the ancient ruins we drove for about 45 minutes to the cenote. The parking area is only a few feet from dressing rooms which have limited lockers with key. They have separate male and female dressing rooms with doors and a roof but are open air. The other side of the dressing rooms have about 10 shower areas that are for one to rinse off, with swimsuit on, prior to going into the cenote and you can use after as well. The shower area is all open without privacy but are clean and comfortable. The cenote is very close by about the same distance as the parking to the dressing rooms. This cenote is has steep wooden stairs which I wouldn’t recommend for someone who can’t easily do stairs. The cenote didn’t have clear water but I was still happy to enter after a hot day. No money is necessary to take unless you want to use their small rope zip line into the water. It’s $5 per jump and they had a repelling rope which I think was a bit more than $5 since they have to use a harness to fit your body.
