What To Expect
Roman Temple Of Hercules
Built during the Roman period, around 162-166 AD, under the governorship of Geminius Marcianus, this impressive temple was dedicated to the demigod Hercules. It even surpasses in size any temple in Rome itself. Today, visitors can admire the remaining majestic columns and a colossal stone hand, thought to be part of a giant statue of Hercules that once graced this site.

5.00Had a great time in Amman and Jerash. Our driver/guide Mr Mint was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. He showed us some local deserts and tea, which was really nice. The only issue was that the tour was only 6 hours when we were driven to our hotel, not 7 hours as advertised.

5.00For our first trip to Jordan—a short two-day stopover in Amman—we hoped to see as much of its famed antiquities and ruins as possible. After searching the endless tour possibilities to be found on TripAdvisor, the best tour itinerary was this one offered by R&H VIP Transportation. Their quick confirmation of our reservation followed by direct contact by our driver—Mohammad Bardaghawi—was immediately reassuring that we made the right choice, and Mohammad proved to be very flexible in working with our timetable, professional in all respects, and generous with his time, guidance and suggestions, and in introducing us to local treats such as “Turkish” coffee and knafeh. He picked us up on time at our hotel, made us comfortable throughout our day-long trip to Jerash and then back to explore Amman not only with his skillful driving but with his vast knowledge about the history of Jordan as well as the specific sites we saw, and then brought us back to our hotel. We had a wonderful experience and were delighted to learn he would be the one taking us to Petra the next day!

You can taylor the day to your liking, my driver was more than happy to adjust the tour to suit my needs and interests. The itinerary was followed as describe on Trip Advisor and I would not hesitate to recommend to other travelers visiting the region. For lovers of ancient history and archeology, this tour option is a must.
