Wat Yai Chaya Mongkol
Wat Yai Chai Mong Khon is very famous throughout the world as it’s recognized as the World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1991 and it’s very important because it’s the location of 1 of the 8 great stupas of the country which is the highest stupa in Ayutthaya Island with the height of 62.10 meters.
Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan
Wat Phanan Choeng was built in 1324, 26 years before the founding of Ayutthaya capital in 1350. The large image hall houses the seated Buddha image of 19 meters in height and 20 meters in width at the lap span. The buddha was built from bricks and plaster covered with black lacquer and gold. The Buddha is regarded as a guardian for mariners and was restored many times until the fall of Ayuttha kingdom. The temple and the Buddha were destroyed by fire.

I didn't expect Ayutthaya to be so calming. Even with the ruins, there's a real sense of peace there. Kendo was a very respectful guide and gave us space when we just wanted to sit and soak it all in. A very thoughtful and well-organized tour.

We absolutely loved this tour! Jimmy was fantastic super friendly, full of great energy, and always made us smile. He shared interesting stories about the old city while keeping the day fun and relaxed. The ruins were stunning, and the boat ride was such a nice break after walking in the heat. The cool breeze on the water felt amazing, and having cold drinks waiting for us in the van was a big plus. Everything was smooth, well-organized, and stress-free. We’d happily do this tour again!

I thought I’d be bored looking at old ruins, but Paula made it so much fun. She’s so chill and easy to talk to, it felt like hanging out with a smart bestie who knows everything. She’s a pro at finding the best photo ops where you won't have 100 tourists in your background. Absolute legend! The private car was super comfy and the boat ride at the end was just chef’s kiss. If you want a tour that isn't cringey or boring, Paula is your girl.

We had a great Ayutthaya day tour with Guide Da. Walking around the ancient ruins really gave us a sense of how old and historic the city is. The boat ride was a nice highlight, offering a different perspective of the old city and a relaxing break during the day. The tour was well paced, and our driver provided a smooth and comfortable ride throughout the trip.

Doing this as a private tour with Peter was the best decision. We could take our time at each temple without being rushed. The temples are stunningly beautiful and very atmospheric. The boat ride at the end was very relaxing.

Da took care of everything. We just hopped out of the car and explored. The temples are breathtaking, especially the one where you can climb up and see the view. It was a hot day, but the boat ride was nice and breezy.

Cherry was such a fun guide! The highlight for us was seeing that massive riverside temple from the boat. It looks like a movie set! We loved wandering through the ruins and seeing the rows of statues. Such a cool, chill vibe for a day trip.

If you love photography, this is the tour for you. Paula knew all the best angles for the temples. The ancient brickwork against the blue sky is spectacular. We visited about 4 or 5 different sites, and each one was more impressive than the last. Truly a world-class experience.

I can't get over how beautiful the temples are! Poppy was amazing at explaining the history behind each site. Even though I can’t remember all the names, the sight of the giant Buddha head in the tree roots is something I’ll never forget. The architecture is just mind-blowing.

An incredible day discovering the stunning ruins of Ayutthaya. Da brought each temple to life with fascinating stories and little-known details, making the history feel vivid and exciting. The included boat trip back to Bangkok was a peaceful and scenic finale, giving us a completely different perspective of the city. It was a long day, but every moment of this private tour was absolutely worth it a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
