5.00Yasir is such a nice guy, even if we didn't get to see Mount Fuji because of the weather, he made sure our day was full filled. He had a very nice time and if we go back to Tokyo we would totally go with him again.

5.00We had a lovely day tour of the Hakone and Mt Fuji areas in a private minibus with our guide Yasir. We found Yasir to be extremely friendly and reassuring, and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We asked to take a relatively relaxed pace; we chose to visit and cruise across Lake Ashi, ride Hakone Ropeway to explore Owakudani, visit the shrine below Mt Fuji, and then toured Oshino hakkai. There were reasonable fees for the various tourist elements of the trip, and Yasir was always ready at the next location so we never needed round trip tickets. We didn't encounter any issues, although it's worth being aware of weather conditions throughout the day as a sudden snowstorm closed the ropeway behind us after we had left. I'd recommend the trip to couples and small groups who want a flexible, personalised service to see some great sights from the city. Do be prepared for the trip though: the drive over from Tokyo to Hakone was ~2 hours, and expect an early start to avoid traffic.

5.00Maiku was our tour guide and driver for the day around Mt Fuji and Hakone area, he was great with both English and Japanese. He took us to all the Lakes and Temples that I had requested and beautiful views of Mt Fuji plus a special ice cream. All in all my family with two adult sons enjoyed ourselves.

5.00Direct collection at the Tokyo Hotel by our guide, Mike. Fluent in Japanese and English. Arrived promptly for the start at 8.30am. We were blessed with a crisp, dry, clear day. Service was even on New Years Day. Around a 90 minute drive to the base of the mountain. Over the next 4/5 hours we did; Chureito pagoda Oishi park ( Lake Kawaguchi with the best ice cream ever) Lake Saiko and Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba Kitaguchi hongu Fuji Sengen shrine. All these had materially different views of the Mountain which is so vast that it would be difficult to do so on your own and tiresome in a large tour group. We stopped off at the Oshino Hakkai village for a late lunch. Mike was attentive, knowledgeable and advised us fully on the best sites. We even missed one or two due to more cloudy conditions in the afternoon and did other sites like the amazing Shrine. It is worth the cost as it can’t be missed and for the comfort of pick up and drop off I would fully recommend.
