The Hacienda de Corralejo is a historic estate located in the municipality of Penjamo, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The hacienda was established in the late 18th century, during the colonial period, and was primarily used for the production of agave and the distillation of tequila. The hacienda has a long and storied history, and was at one time owned by the famous revolutionary hero, Miguel Hidalgo, who used it as a base for his insurgent army during the Mexican War of Independence. The hacienda was later acquired by the Sauza family, who transformed it into one of the largest and most successful tequila distilleries in Mexico. Today, the Hacienda de Corralejo is a popular tourist attraction, offering visitors a chance to explore the beautiful grounds, tour the tequila distillery, and learn about the history and traditions of tequila production in Mexico. The hacienda also features a restaurant, a gift shop, and a museum dedicated to the history of tequila.
