Tomb of Ramses III

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari),

Really nice guide (Hassan) and driver. They fulfilled all our wishes and also an extra stop at Hasheput Temple was included (at an extra costs). I would always repeat the tour with them again and can fully recommend them.

We visited 3 tombs plus king Tut’s plus Sheti’s. King tut’s had his mummy inside and Sheti’s was the most beautiful with the least people. Our guide was Mr. Hassan. Great guy, great vibes, funny, he gaves us some very-easy-to-understand insights on ancient egypt, the kings and way of thinking, and how they ended up building such magnificent structures.

We booked the tour through Viator. We enjoyed the tour a lot, recommended. We visited Valley of Kings (with Tuthankhamun tomb), Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, passed by a village where they showed us how they make the sculptures. Our guide Hassan was very friendly, and told us a lot of things - great story telling, you can see he is passionate about the history. He is knowledgeable so you can ask him all questions. Thank you!

  • The Perfect Day in Luxor

We booked a VIP day trip from El Gouna to Luxor through Memnon Reisen. And it became the perfect day. Early in the morning we were picked up by our driver Michael. He made our several-hour drive very pleasant. Clean car, air conditioning, drinks and TV on board. In Luxor we met our guide Naschaad Obaid Saad. A professor of archaeology and a master to inspire people and take them into the history of ancient Egypt. We looked behind the scenes, admired masterpieces of ancient Egypt and learned to read hieroglyphics. Naschaad enriched and fascinated us with his archaeological knowledge. You could listen to him for hours and it would never get boring. We would book this tour again anytime.

  • Lovely stay in St Helier and would recomment the Merton Hotel - wonderful

Had a lovely time in Jersey with Acklams coaches. The Merton Hotel is the best we have ever stayed at. So easy going, so friendly - the staff could not do enough for you. Excellent. Had a tour of the island and took the little train to St Aubins. Dissappointed that the Duchess was not sailing that week and their communication was non existent even though we had paid in advance. But we enjoyed out stay.

Did the Nile cruise with Trendtours. The Hatshepsut Temple was included in the program. I visited the tomb of Seti I alone. Admission costs 2000 EGP. That's about 40 euros. It may be photographed without flash. I really wanted to see this grave and it was very worth it. It was my 4th. Visit to Egypt. In Luxor I have now seen over 30 graves and the tomb of Seti I is fantastic. The Hatshepsut Temple is also definitely worthwhile.
