Lu-Li Island
Luli Island got its name because its sandbar appears and disappears (lulubog and lilitaw), depending on the tide. This is part of the Honda Bay Island hopping tour you can do from Puerto Princesa city. It has powdery cream-colored sand and clear emerald waters perfect for swimming and beach bumming. You will then be transferred by boat to Luli Island. Luli is a play on the local dialect's words "lulubog-lilitaw," which indirectly means "Now you see it; now you don't." This is because the island is visible only when the tide is low and becomes underwater as soon as it gets high. You will spend about an hour on this island. You can snorkel, swim, and sunbathe. After your stay on Luli island, you will proceed to Pambato Reef where you can snorkel with amazing marine life. You will see giant clams, colorful fish, and live corals. Enjoy sunbathing on the beaches, go swimming or snorkeling in the crystal clear waters and get close to beautiful marine life. - Please bring money for the Environmental Fees which they required for actual payment and no advance booking of Environmental Fees

Very disappointed as I booked this trip through TripAdvisor who then booked through Rio Travel and Tours in the Philippines. Our hotel was located further away so we took and paid for our own transportation from our hotel to a hotel that was within pick up of allowed hotels. We arrived 45 minutes early. Called aviator who stated our pick up time was 8:30 am and our transportation should arrive within 15 mins. We waited until 9am, no-one ever showed up or communicated with us about trip. I called aviator back and they said sorry we will refund money. We are now having to wait at a hotel that is not ours for the next 2 hours to get transported back to our hotel. A waste of a whole day and our time we could have done something else or spent it booking with a more secure and customer service orientated company. Very disappointed and upset the amount of $$ we wasted. Do not book any tours associated with Rio Travel and Tours, my communication started 2 days ago with them, no response to 3 messages, the phone number you call states there is no operator to answer. Wish I would have looked at reviews because the first one states lack of communication. Hope this helps anyone booking tours.

Terrible, they just didn't come to pick us up. I tried to communicate with the Enterprise but you didn't answer the phone. I await the refund of the reservation by Viator

The Staff in this hotel make it a wonderful experience. They are so warm , welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is positioned close to restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is the top floor of a locals shopping centre. The room I had was a deluxe. Very spacious with a balcony. The bar and restaurant afford lovely views of the coast. Lovely to sit on the roof terrace with a cool beer brought by my favourite bar staff person the lovely Lieziel.

AVOID VIATOR TOURS! I booked a tour to Honda Bay at Palawan and the Viator agent confirmed to me that no further details would be needed, and that I would have to pre-pay the full amount, which I have later found out, is twice the amount of local operators. Despite showing up at the agreed location, and the agreed time, no one came to pick me up. When I tried to get a refund, this was refused repeatedly. I strongly urge anyone to AVOID booking tours with this agency.

We had the best tour at Honda Bay Island hopping. Our tour guide made some very short memorable videos for us and our tour group. I have some great memories feeding the fish, snorkeling, riding the boat. We saw a sea cow while traveling between the islands. We also enjoyed a very well done lunch. There was plenty of food . I’ll miss Palawan.

Took good care of us and the food was the best of all the tours we did. If you want to go snorkelling and have a beard I suggest getting the smaller mask and snorkel; rather than the larger full face one, couldn’t get a seal on the beard. Very good day was had by all.

Proceed with caution: after many years of loyalty, I will no longer use this service. When the third-party tour company cancelled our event due to high winds, we knew we were in good hands as Viator’s website offers the option to reschedule OR a full refund. Luckily, I was able to reschedule; however, my friend was unable as his flight prevented him from doing so. The third-part company that Viator contracted with, Rio Travel and Tour, offered me a refund of a fraction of what I paid. I refused their offer and I contacted Viator for support. Viator intervened and after a few hours I was offered a partial refund; not a full refund. This is a great disappointment as the website clearly states a change a schedule or full refund. (Google Viator and it’s in their description and it’s also outlined in the booking process) At a time when tourism is on the edge of rebounding and with more and more travelers writing and reading reviews to determine what is in their best interest, it’s too bad that Viator and Rio Travel and Tour faulted on their advertised promise. In addition to this review, I’m reaching out to the big enchilada, Mrs. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, person in charge at the Department of Tourism AND good friend of the person described in this message that couldn’t attend due to his flight schedule.
