  • A great introduction to the area

This was my first activity after arriving in San Pedro de Atacama. I’m glad I went with the group. Fortunately everyone was in similar condition and capability, so no long waits for people to catch up. The guide was helpful all along the way and she provided information of interest. You “could” do this on your own; the trail is pretty obvious so there’s little chance of getting lost. But having the transportation and guide was a good idea for me (solo, without a car). Note: The “hot springs” at the end was more luke-warm. It was refreshing and fun to get in, especially under the waterfall, but don’t expect thermal pools that you’ll want to soak in for an extended period. Need: Water, maybe a snack, sunscreen, sturdy footwear, swim suit and towel (you’ll change outdoors under the towel).

Amazing experience to get to this place. Wear appropriate shoes with adherence as safety also comes from these accessories.

The tour was Rota dos Salares. We were very well guided and welcomed by the driver Gustavo and the guide Marta. Very dear and always attentive to the needs of the group. With great courtesy, Marta showed all her knowledge about the places visited and was available at all times. Very pleased with the experience.
