The tour begins base nearby the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in South Iceland. We start by going over the tour plan and safety instructions. From the base we cross some small rivers and head down to the black lava sands fields which derives from the dormant volcano Katla. Down by the black beach we stop and enjoy the amazing view up to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the coast to the southernmost part of Iceland, the small peninsula Dyrhólaey. We then head along the coast to the famous aircraft wreck, from there we continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of the mountain. Upon our return we follow the mountain back to the base. The ATV experience itself lasts approximately 2 hours. You will ride 2 people per ATV, with one driving and one as a passenger. If you are traveling alone, or in an odd-numbered group (3, 5, 7 etc.) there is an additional charge payable locally for single riders. The adventure will provide stunning photo opportunities in good weather, so don't forget to bring your camera! You will be provided with everything you need for a safe and comfortable ride. No ATV experience is required to take part and the skill level for this activity is deemed as 'easy'.

Great time. Can get a little windy on beach making it tough to hear the guide….but that is the only minor issue. In net, terrific tour, many diverse terrains…would recommend.

We had an amazing tour with Anthony and Gunnlaugur! The ATVs and trails were so exciting and thrilling - the beach, mountain/river stop, and plane were such highlights. Such beautiful pictures and views. Anthony and Gunnlaugur gave great insight and information at the stops, and were truly informative. We got to chat with them and they were so kind and sweet, which made the trip even more enjoyable! I travelled in a group of 7 long time friends and we all wanted them to join us for a beer after. Well worth the money and time!!!

This was a lot of fun. We got to drive over sand, rocky paths, across streams and had plenty of photo opportunities.
