What To Expect
The sportiest section of the Salzach river leads us from Eschenau near Zell / See to Schwarzach. The river, fed by the glacier regions of the Großglockner, offers sporty white water with high rollers and breakers. On this raft tour, the Salzach offers brisk wild water in the medium difficulty. After the start, the crew only has a short part of the route, to familiarize yourself with the flow character and the commands "on board". The "labyrinth", a blocked rapids, demands concentrated attention. After the notorious railroad surge, it continues wavy through Lend. From the impressive waterfall on the Gasteiner Ache, things get a little more leisurely. Shortly before the exit there are still a few lively sections where no eye is guaranteed to stay dry. Difficulty: WW 3, medium difficulty Route length: approx. 11 km Tour duration: 4 hours from the meeting point Requirements: swimmers, minimum age: 12 years

5.00I went rafting on the Salzach River with my 13-year-old son, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide, Martin, was fantastic – full of energy, fun tricks, and a great sense of how to build team spirit. He made the adventure both exciting and safe. We loved every moment of it, and it definitely opened our appetite for more rafting in the future. Fun, sport, adrenaline, and nature – what more could you ask for?

5.00We did this experience together with our sons (12 and 13 years old) and it was a big hit!!! We had a lot of fun and our instructor Martin (from Argentina), was amazing! He was engaging with both kids and adults and gave very easy and clear instructions before and during the ride. Our sons absolutely enjoyed the fact that Martin made the ride extra fun with some special maneuvers and the possibility to jump into the water :) Esther, who picked us up in her van and brought us to the river, was very friendly and made us feel very welcome! Highly recommended!

5.00Fantastic rafting with our 12-year-old son. Challenging but not scary for him. Was made extra exciting by the thunderstorm directly over our heads as we set off. The guide, Simon, was brilliant (caring and funny) and made sure our slightly nervous son was OK and even encouraged him to do a “Titanic” at the front of the boat as we went over a rapid. Twice. Son gave the whole experience 9.5 out of 10, which I’ll translate into a 5-star rating.
Rafting absolutely recommended especially as a group!

5.00We were 8 friends and so had a boat just for us and we had a huge fun with our guide! It was wrestled until everyone lay in the water when the location allowed and we helped together when it mattered. We can recommend it to any group who fancy a little adventure together! It was also cool that Detlef took pictures of us and so we still have souvenir photos forever! Thanks for that!:) The only small downside is that we thought the tour would be a bit longer and the drive from Camp to the boarding point would be shorter but we were so excited in retrospect that I didn't want to deduct a point for it! Thanks to all guides and contributors, we will definitely come back!:)

5.00Great morning with our guide Grubi?? He was amazing to feel how wild he could make the trip so everyone in the boat thought it was fun. And we did! Security was top while we played rafting all the way down the river. We were leaving with our two children of 12 and 14 years old. Thanks for a wonderful trip. Thanks for the cold bath. 😂

5.00Great trip. We chose the trip Rafting Sportiv and it was a really good experience for the whole family, children from 10-17 years. The guide Martine was super, and important for the good experience. An added plus that a photographer, photographed along the way so that the next day we could download pictures from our trip as a nice memory. We would definitely recommend.
