This was by far my favorite day in Vietnam. I don’t even know where to start with Vu. He goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable while thoughtfully sharing insights into everyday life in Hoi An’s countryside. He’s incredibly kind, always smiling, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the local families we visit. Having grown up in the countryside himself, you can feel how much love and pride he has for this place. The entire experience felt wholesome and deeply authentic. Everyone we met was warm and welcoming, and I got to see a side of Vietnam I’m 100% sure I wouldn’t have experienced without Vu and the relationships he’s built over the years. Nothing feels rushed or staged. It feels less like a tour and more like spending a genuine day in the countryside, connecting with people, and learning.

Harry, the main tour guide and co-founder of Angiee Adventures, was extremely responsive and accommodating of our very last minute booking. We contacted him about 15 hours before the start of the tour and he answered all of our questions and helped us customize the experience for the next morning. He, Phuong, and Nine arrived early to our hotel for our 7:30am tour and welcomed us with big smiles and magnetic energy. The tour took us out of the touristy part Hoi An, into the nearby areas where the locals live. We learned about basket boat making, visited a quang noodle shop and rice wine distillery, tried our hand at mat weaving, and enjoyed coffee by the rice paddies. We rode in a basket boat in a tranquil coconut forest, a much better experience than the noisy party boat vibe that most people see. The whole experience felt authentic and we could tell that Harry is passionate about sharing and preserving local culture and crafts. Although Nine and Phuong, the other drivers who accompanied us, did not speak as much English, their enthusiasm and humor were magnetic. It felt like spending the day with friends rather than with tour guides. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it to everyone!

Great food and hosts. We loved Kiwi and Nga. Both were friendly and informative. They took us to many places we would never have gone on our own and the food was great. Also the tour was small and intimate. They took their time and it did not feel like a mill.

If you’re looking for a tour that’s not touristy but lets you truly enjoy and experience local culture, this one is perfect! It ended up being a private tour just for my husband and me, and we each rode on the back of a motorbike, exploring the countryside around Hoi An while experiencing and learning about the local culture. Our guides, Lam and Trien(Nine?), were incredibly kind and made the experience even better. Apparently, we were their very first Japanese guests, which made us really happy 🤩 One tip for anyone joining: definitely wear pants👖 instead of a skirt!👗

We had a wonderful experience with Lam and Trien (aka Nine)! It was just the two of us, so we got to experience riding the motorbikes with Lam and Trien, and that in itself was fun, riding around the rural parts of Hoi An. The locals we met were all very enthusiastic in showing us their way of life.

We had the very best experience with Lam as our guide! Our favorite stole were making noodles and the mat weaving. The families we visited were genuinely happy to be sharing their culture and giving us a glimpse into their daily routines. Our stop for salted coffee was the best coffee I had in Hoi An! When I was a little overheated, Lam took action to get me to the van and make sure I had everything I needed. He was the very best guide! Highly recommend!

I booked this trip super last minute and yet they were able to arrange a private tour for me with the sweet and attentive Lâm. I felt completely at ease. The highlights of the tour I found were being on the road on the scooter and enjoying the view, the delicious coconut coffee I got to try and the sweet couple of local mat weavers you meet with the most generous smile. You don't normally see this as a tourist. Highly recommended!

This was an amazing tour that actually felt off the beaten path! Our guide Kiwi was incredible and has a very positive energy. interesting information about Hoi A culture and the lives of families living in surrounding villages. Every family we visited made us feel very welcome and we were able experience making rice noodles and then eating them. Food and coffee were an added bonus from local stalls we probably would not have visited otherwise. The best tour we have done in Vietnam!
