We all go with preconcieved notions of something but this tour was beyond words, we felt like we just learned what was worth a semester of art school! Thank you Hernan! 5.00We thought we understood modern art until we met Irina. Her exposition of the relationship between the classical artists and the moderns was especially noteworthy. The museum is enormous; she guided us to particular pieces, with plenty of time to roam freely after the tour, roughly two hours.

5.00Today I enjoyed very much in the Reina Sofia Museum of Art with Lola a wonderful guide, enjoyable, with a lot of curious and interesting anecdotes, which has made me enjoy every room we have visited. The Museum is impressive. It was a delicious visit.

5.00I recently booked a Reina Sofia Museum Private Tour and am so happy that I found them here on Trip Advisor. The tour was a highlight of my trip to Madrid. My guide was Hernan who met us by the entrance. (We had purchased our tickets to the museum in advance.) Earlier in the day he had sent us a file which served as background information on items we would be seeing during the tour. It was very helpful. My goal was to see Picasso’s Guernica, and thanks to Hernan, I learned so much more about that painting than I ever would have learned through an audio tour. We also spent time talking about Miro, Gris and Dali as well as seeing their paintings. I left not only with a better understanding of the art but also of modern Spanish history. I highly recommend this tour. It is a wonderful experience for adults as the subject matter can be difficult.

5.00Excellent, our guide was Carlos Pelegrín and it is impressive what he knows of art history and history, at home he studies a lot, we study a lot about the museum and his works, and so Carlos gave a classroom of knowledge, super recommended!!!

5.00I hoped to get a detailed perspective on Picasso and the cultural life of Spain in the time of the Spanish civil war and the years leading to it Our tour guide, Hernan, was more professor/lecturer than guide. I liked that. It was a bit challenging mentally. I also liked the resources provided for additional study. It was more than a look at art that I wanted to see but a study of that art.

5.00We visited the Prado in September and had a private tour with Irina. She was perfect and knew her artists and works in the museum. We asked her to focus on Velasquez and Goya and what a great tours it was. She spoke in clear English with stories to tell about each work. Such a beautiful museum. We travel as two couples who prefer not to ne in large group tours. We can get our questions answered, dont have to wait for others and can lengthen or shorten our time as needed. We will always do private tours and Irina was a wealth of information. This is how to get the most out of your precious time on vacation. She is fabulous!

5.00Our guide for the Tour (Hernan) was terrific. He was a History Professor with such great insight on the background of what we were experiencing. He knew why and what motivated Picasso to create Guernica and was able to present it with passion and meaning. It's sad and tragic but we loved it. Better than I expected.
