A special excursion specially made for cruise tourists who want to see everything from the beautiful island of Rhodes!
- We will see the Old Town, Mandraki harbour together with the area where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood.
- Then you will walk through the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes and you will see the ruins of the temple of Apollo, you will also enjoy the view from Monte Smith and you will take photos with the whole Aegean Sea on your back.
- After that, we will continue on the East coast of the island and reach the white village of Lindos, 50km away.
- The lovely village of Lindos is one of the most attractive and beautiful villages of Rhodes located south of the capital. It is dominated by a magnificent and imposing acropolis that lies on top.
You will have more than an hour stay to explore its narrow streets and visit the beautiful Acropolis on the top. Then we will return back to your starting point.

What To Expect
Old Town of Rhodes
We will start our excursion with a drive around the walls of the Old Town of Rhodes where you can take photos from outside the most important Gates. The biggest inhabited medieval town in Europe. It was built in 1300s from the knights of the order of St. John. The Medieval Town of Rhodes is inscribed in the World Heritage Sites List of UNESCO. A) Due to a new traffic regulation, no vehicles are allowed inside the Old Town—only pedestrians. We can end the tour at one of the Old Town gates, allowing you to explore on your own and walk back to the ship. The walk from the Medieval City to the Cruise Port is an easy 5-minute stroll. This way, you save time and money, as you won’t have to pay for the driver’s waiting time. B) No worries—our knowledgeable drivers can guide you on how to walk through the Old Town back to the ship. Just ask your driver!
Mandraki Harbour
Mandraki port is situated in the new part of the town where you will see some very impressive monumental buildings built by the Italians. Here at the harbour entrance is believed that once stood the great statue of the Colossus of Rhodes – one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. We will stop for pictures of the area and you will be able also to enter and see the Church of the Annunciation which is the most famous church in Rhodes Town. Located north of Mandraki, the old port of the town, this church was constructed in the 1920s, during the Italian occupation of the island. The Church of the Annunciation celebrated on March 25th with a large religious festival.

5.00Excellent tour, worth the 40 minute drive to get to Lindos. A magical little town topped off with the acropolis on top. Then a good walk through the old city of Rhodes which is really spectacular. Gianis our driver and guide was basic for a special day. He took us to eat at a good Greek restaurant with local people. Great choice of this tour, recommended 100%

2.00Viator sold an excursion knowing that Lindos was almost completely shut down as it is the off season. only a few shops and no restaurants were open. Paid extra for time for lunch but there was no where to eat. Viator would not issue any refunds. Tour guide should have also known about the situation when he dropped us off in a closed town Very disappointing.

5.00Dimitris is a tremendous guide with a wealth of information, current and historical. He took us to numerous sites and vistas and was extremely flexible about stops. He was able to fill the tour despite my husband's recent injury which limited the distance he could walk.
Good half day tour. Would recommend this tour.
