The Finnhorse is a cooperative, sweet and reliable co-worker. On horseback you can experience the untouched nature of Lapland.
In autumn you can enjoy the colourful forest scenery with autumn foliage, in the winter you'll hear the snow crunch beneath the hooves as snowcovered trees bend above our trail. In the spring the bright sunshine will glisten on the snow and you can hear the song of the first migratory birds and feel the warmth of the sun. In the summertime our hairy co-workers will mostly by vacationing in the pastures.
Our horseback riding tours are slow-paced, so you don't need previous riding experience.
Agenda: Short safety section, Horse riding tour (duration about 30-40min depending on weather conditions) and after the ride we enjoy a warm drink, gingerbread cookies and marshmallows at hut by the fire.

What To Expect
In the beginning of our programme you'll recieve a comprehensive introduction to horses, after which you can feel safe to go on a riding trek. On our treks we always set the page according the least experienced rider. At the end of the ride we'll enjoy a warm drink and cookies at the campfire and you'll hear story of Finnhorses. For safety reasons and for wellbeing of our horses, riding excursions are for people over 7 years of age and who weight less than 120kg (265 pounds).
What‘s Included
Helmet cap and riding helmet.
You will need warm clothes suitable for riding, as well as shoes and gloves. The use of a helmet is mandatory.

5.00Beautiful and magical ride through the snow-capped trees of Lapland. Just the right length for the cold weather and to keep my children happy. Friendly, helpful people. Finished the ride with a hut warmed by a fire, marshmallows and watm drinks.

5.00Very nice walk with very welcoming and smiling staff, beautiful landscape and very relaxing. The horses were very beautiful and very disciplined, we recommend this activity to do to recharge, at the end we were allowed a small fire in a cabin with biscuit, marshmallow and a hot drink with red fruits.

5.00Lovely experience for myself and 2 young children. Riding beautiful Finnish horses through a winter wonderland forest while our guides told us stories of some of the locals. After our ride we could then warm up with a cup of Glogi, gingerbread biscuits and roasting marshmallows over the open fire. Couldn’t fault Aurora horses, great experience and would definitely recommend and do it again.
