I had a fantastic experience on the Rigga Old Town walking tour with "Jimmy" from Go Penguin from the start, he brought so much energy and knowledge that made the whole area come alive in a way I wouldn’t have experienced on my own. Jimmy shared great insights into the history, culture, and hidden details of Al Rigga and the surrounding old town streets, while also keeping things fun and relaxed. The pace was comfortable, with plenty of time to take in the sights, ask questions, and enjoy the atmosphere. What really stood out was how personable and engaging Jimmy was he made me feel welcome and connected throughout the tour. It felt less like a guided tour and more like exploring the city with a friend who genuinely loves what he does. I’d highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Dubai who wants a more authentic, local perspective of the old town area. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

Very disappointing experience. The tour was canceled without any prior notice, and I only found out after arriving at the meeting point and waiting for over 20 minutes. I had traveled all the way from Jurmala specifically for this tour. I tried calling multiple times, but no one answered or my calls were declined. Only afterwards was I informed that the tour had been canceled the previous day. Although I received a refund for the tour, I was left covering €37.80 in taxi costs (€16.90 + €20.90), which were wasted due to their lack of communication. The company refused to take any responsibility for this. After my experience, I noticed that other customers have reported similar last-minute cancellations, which is very concerning. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when booking with this provider.

Wear comfortable shoes. Old Riga is all cobblestone. Lovely experience. My guide was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged asking questions.

We learned a lot on the walking tour - it was a great start to our time in Riga. The background on the cat house and how it came to be was priceless. Baiba was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and gave us plenty of time to ask questions. Highly recommend.

We arrived at the meet point at 10:15am for our 10:30am tour on a wet windy day. We waited and waited, 10;30am came, no tour guide. I telephoned twice, no answer. At 10:45am I received a text ‘due to health problems’ the tour was cancelled. So disappointing. If there had been a genuine health problem the guide/operator would have known this at least 30 minutes in advance, if not longer, and should have let us know rather than me chasing them. Letting us know 15 minutes after the tour start, when we were already cold and wet, was just unacceptable.

Nice way to learn the city and the history. Good length and covered most of the Old Town. Also some good suggestion on things to do.

Zane the guide was great: friendly and smiling! (Sorry if I misspelled your name) 2 hours tour, ticking all the most important old town spots, with interesting information and further recommendations given. Well recommended!

Diana was an excellent tour guide and it was easy to see why she does this as a hobby. (She shared with us she has a day job but her passion is tour guiding.) Not only did we get history, architecture but also restaurant, cafe, museum, and neighborhood recommendations. I ate at one of her recommended restaurants, cafes and went to one of her recommended museums and neighborhoods on my own. Definitely got more out of my Riga visit courtesy of Diana.
