This wine tour felt so unique and personal. The host is really passionate about local and family wineries. (He is also very serious about it) We visited two family owned wineries and one more commercial one. My only regret was not buying some of the wine from the first place we visited (they export some of their wines but not all). The really unique part was that he and his family live in a village and their house has its own old winery building and wine cave. He showed us around there and then we had a wonderful and relaxing homemade lunch _inside_ an old wine barrel. It's been reworked to be a cozy nook. Okay, I have one other regret -- I didn't ask his wife for her stew recipe!

Irma van Heugten when you write a comment about us you should not write things that are not there. We are certainly recreational people but you make sure with your behavior and fabrications that we are annoying campers who think they can do and make anything. But that kite doesn't fly. My wife went to the reception to pay for my children and grandchildren. But making even 0-year-olds pay the full price seems a little ridiculous to me. But we just paid 45 euros for 3 hours of visitation. You can paint us in your comment as people who live in a camper think we set the rules ourselves. We clearly indicated that we had a car with us. And that wasn't a problem. Until you started being difficult, then nothing was possible. And then you will also tell us that we have a letter address what is wrong with that a lot of people in the Netherlands have. You just have nothing to do with that. It turns out you're a nasty person When you write back such a comment. So it's nice that people like us never More coming, you can imagine how you are I would if I were you read the comments carefully. Greetings from your anonymous camper You are just terrible.!!!!!!!!!!!!

The picture used to advertise this experience couldn’t be more wrong. Jose our guide was the consummate professional ensuring we had an enjoyable and educational day. His passion for the wine and its heritage in Rioja made for an authentic and enjoyable experience . Lunch was next level too . We would highly recommend this to anyone interested in or wanting to explore the wines of this region as well as enjoy the vistas of the region.

Jose picked us promptly at our hotel for an all day winery tour. He explained the Spanish wine culture, the farming and wine making system and the ways that grapes and wine are acquired by wineries. We sampled several wines at different bodegas along the way. His restored winery from the 1800s is magnificent. We sampled wines after hearing about his winery and then proceeded to have a fabulous lunch cooked by him and his wife. Everyone in our party would highly recommend this tour.

Jose is a great guide and dedicated small winery owner. He picked up my wife and I at our AirBnB in Logrono at 10am, took us to three different wineries to sample different wines, and made a couple stops to fields where we learned about different grape types, climate, altitude, and process. The highlight was toward the middle-end when Jose took us to his own winery from the 1880s that he recently bought and restored. After touring a cave under one structure and other parts of his winery, we sampled several of his own label wines made by local farmers and ate some super delicious homemade food – cheese, tomatoes from his garden, chorizo and potato stew made by his wife, and lamb chops cooked over grape vines. Overall, the tour lasted around seven hours. A great day! Many thanks Jose! We ended up buying an extra suitcase to transport home the different wines we bought throughout the day on the airplane (checked luggage).

Jose was a great guide and the end of the tour was at his own wine experience.. it’s hard to describe other than to say that it was spectacular and worst way more than 5 stars. We would highly recommend this experience! Please support Jose and his family in keeping the wine history of small producers in the region alive. The renovation of a historic wine property is incredible.

We did the full day wine tour with Jose. In the morning we visited the beautiful landscapes and vineyards in the Rioja countryside. We then visited 2 wineries for tastings. The highlight of the day was visiting Jose's beautifully restored Bodgega and cave. Jose and his lovely wife cooked us an amazing lunch and we tasted some of his beautiful wines. The hospitality Jose and his family showed us made us feel like we were visiting family. We had one final tasting before being dropped back to our hotel. We have done many wine tours around the world and this is hands down the best we have experienced. Thanks again Jose. Alan, Shirley, Robert and Katie...

Excellent experience that was seamlessly managed from the beginning until the end. José picked us up from our hotel before taking us to see some of the vines, explaining the Rioja regulations / label colours before heading off to three wine makers aka Bodegas to sample their wines - note be prepared for larger than usual samples so pace yourself and I’d suggest definitely having breakfast beforehand! After visiting the vineyards and winemakers José takes you to a restored winery for more wine and a delicious, home cooked three course meal (plus appetiser) which is a great experience, particularly if you like a bit of history. Definitely worth the money for a full day out!!
