What To Expect
Pickup Meeting at the cruise port or your hotel at the scheduled time. Private transportation allows for flexible pacing. Time: 10–15 minutes Stop 1: Monkey and Sloth Sanctuary Guided visit to observe monkeys, sloths, and tropical birds in a natural and respectful environment. Time: 45–60 minutes Transfer to West Bay Beach Scenic drive across the island to West Bay Beach. Time: 25–30 minutes Stop 2: West Bay Beach Break Relax on white sand, swim in crystal-clear waters, or enjoy the beach club. Beach loungers are included, and food and drinks are available for purchase. Time: 2–3 hours Return to Port or Hotel Comfortable return with plenty of time before ship departure or scheduled plans. 5.00Our day with Johan & Roatan Family Tours was phenomenal! We were visiting the island for a day while on a cruise. Johan met us at the port, and gave us a private tour of the island. The time at the West Bay Beach was beautiful. The beach club had all the amenities, and the water was perfect. Our whole family (2 adults & 2 teens) all agree this was the best excursion we've ever done. Thank you Johan for a perfect day in Roatan.

5.00An absolutely outstanding day and one of the highlights of our holiday. Everything was perfectly organised from start to finish, and our guide was exceptional — friendly, knowledgeable and a real pleasure to spend the day with. We visited a beautifully run animal sanctuary, explored the butterfly house, fed capuchin monkeys, toucans and macaws, and saw sloths and other wildlife up close. We then enjoyed excellent snorkeling on the reef with Captain Edmund’s boat before sailing on to a stunning beach club. The beach was gorgeous, with silky soft sand, crystal-clear water, and great bars and food exactly as recommended. We can’t recommend this lovely, family-run company highly enough — a perfectly balanced day of wildlife, adventure and beachside luxury, with the bonus of an Arsenal-supporting guide!

5.00⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience with Roatan Family Tours! Our driver and guide, Cid Bodden, was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. He met us right outside the cruise port and shared so much interesting information about Roatan throughout the day. Our tour included an island tour, sloths and monkeys, chocolate and rum tasting, and finished with lunch overlooking the water—complete with delicious lobster! 🦞🌴 Cid was especially accommodating and kind, as I was using a mobility scooter due to a broken foot, and he made sure everything went smoothly and comfortably for me. We truly enjoyed every part of the experience and will definitely book again on our next visit to Roatan. Highly recommend!

5.00Had an awesome private tour organized by Yohan together with family. Everything we did was super fun, and Yohan was an awesome guide, really fun and chill. It was a very special and cozy day at Roatan that simply cannot be replicated if you go on a group tour with a lot of people. Thank you so much Yohan and hope to be back soon! 🫶

5.00Great tour. The owner picked us up in his new van. He was very nice and talked about the area. The best part was holding and feeding the monkeys. I was disappointed that I couldn' hold a sloth. Even though their website shows pictures of people holding them. Fyi. As of April 2025 you cant hold them until further notice. The price was much cheaper than our excursion through the cruise. 90.00 total 30 00 to reserve and you pay 60.00 after your done. Also, dont forget to tip your tour guide. :)

5.00Our tour with Brian was incredible. He was right on time and very communicative. Reasonable price and took us to see things we didn’t know we even wanted to see. So helpful and polite. We were the first ones at the sloth tour. They were very gentle with the animals.

5.00Best guide and experience ever! Johan is the best guide you’ll find on Roatan. He also, helped arrange other snorkeling experiences with Captain Joel (who also was outstanding and highly recommended as we saw many turtles on our excursions with him. He’s also got great snorkeling equipment) and a wonderful night snorkeling tour in which we saw octopuses, squid and lobster. Johan took us on a full day tour of Roatan that took us to see the sloths along with some great monkeys and other creatures. We also went on a fun tour of the mangroves as well as a great lunch looking out over the water. If you want a memorable Roatan experience, be sure to reach out to Johan, he can make all the arrangements for you (including airport pickups) and make your time in Roatan truly fantastic. Can’t thank you enough, Johan, you are truly the best!
