We began the morning together, laughing as the ferry carried us toward Robben Island. Standing where history still breathes, silence said more than words ever could. Later, the cable car lifted us above Cape Town, the ocean glittering beneath our feet. My friend pointed out the horizon, and for a moment, everything felt perfectly still—just wind, sky, and gratitude. From prison walls to mountain heights, the day became a journey of freedom, friendship, and quiet awe we’ll never forget.

Everyone visiting Cape Town should partake in this extremely unusual activity. The boat's tickets are affordable. A tour of the island is given to you, along with a tour given by a former inmate. You should definitely go there soon! There isn't much more time to gain firsthand knowledge of what happened on the island because the tour guides are getting older.
