The uniqueness of this experience is that you will be doing rock climbing in one of the most beautiful and iconic topographical areas of PR, the Northern Karst. Your guides are in compliance with the highest standards required, AMGA SPI certified rock climbing instructors, PR-DRD Licensed and highly experienced guides for more than 10 years guiding beginner and experienced climbers, including children. Our services are private to provide you with a relaxed environment in contact with nature. Furthermore, this experience will immerse you in the intimacy of nature in our property. Yes, you will have an off the beaten path experience with all the services and gear you need. Also, our location is very close to other must go places after you climb such as: Puerto Nuevo Beach, Tortuguero Natural Spring, hiking and surfing areas, and lots of local food restaurants at a very convenient price.

What To Expect
Prepare for a local experience! Roca Norte is located in our private property within a rocky forest where limestone rock walls stands out. You will witness the unique karstic topography of our island at its best and will feel part of it while climbing these majestic rocks. You will have the opportunity to climb three climbing routes for beginners and you can choose to upgrade the experience to get more challenging ones, if you feel doing so. Rock walls are very accessible from the road, just a few steps and you will be immersed from our garden area into the rocky forest. This experience is suitable for the whole family as we can tailor it accordingly. Bathroom, chairs and picnic table available.

5.00I can't explain how awesome this place is. For those used to a 30+ minute approach, awkward belay stances, far away from car/supplies, this is a pretty unique experience. There is an awesome patio area that has a hammock, seats, bathroom, shower, and then after a 30 second walk, you feel like you are at Ciales climbing in the jungle. One wall on the right with a bunch of top ropes already set up, and on the left a few top ropes and the rest are well bolted fun climbs, check them out on Mountain Project. On this day, we were the only group there, which again was unique from the overcrowded crags. If I had to do it again, this would have been our first climbing stop, but don't let it spoil you!!! We had our own gear, but it looks like they have a good selection of shoes, harnesses, ropes, etc. Lastly Marianela and Kenneth communicated great, were super welcoming, and got us from car to climbing quickly.

4.00We climbed here last year and had such a good time that we decided to visit twice this trip. Easy to find, nice obvious trails, well maintained, a great assortment of routes with some nice easy stuff that is perfect for getting used to the unusual Puerto Rico limestone before moving up to your usual grades. My only gripe is the use of drones that are both annoying and can act as white noise to obscure climbing commands, it's so nice and peaceful here it's a bother to have to yell over them. The fridge is a perfect touch to keep extra drinks and lunch cool. The seating and hammock are great to kick back on, and the option of wash sink, toilet and even a shower are perfect for those who want to drive home nice and fresh or just cool off post climb. The crag dog is very friendly and likes to come watch you sometimes.

5.00Marianela and her husband were great! They were super communicative and flexible as some weather popped up and made sure we were able to rock climb and have a great time! Their property is beautiful and they were so so patient and kind with our daughter who is 7 and was rock climbing for the first time.

5.00This couple are AMAZING! My 4 yr old granddaughter participated and they were so patient with her. Marianela was so good with her and made her feel safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this over any of those man made parks for climbing.

5.00If you are a climber of any level of experience and are visiting Puerto Rico; do yourself a solid and visit Roca Norte. This is gorgeous limestone crag/outdoor gym is truly a magical escapade. Thank you Roca Norte for a unique climbing experience! Kenneth, Marianela and Cookie were extremely hospitable and made safety and fun a priority. I'll definitely visit any time I'm in P.R.!

5.00We sought social activities where our 8-year-old son could make new friends and practice his Spanish. At Roca Norte Summer Camp he got that and much more. Every day, he returned home not only talking about how funny the kids were but also about Puerto Rican archaeology and geology, mental focus, determination and even nutrition. Rainy days frustrated him a bit, as he wanted to climb every day, but Marianela and Keneth always found creative solutions to entertain the kids and keep them learning. Meditation was his least favourite activity. However, since the camp, I've noticed his inner awareness, self-confidence, independence and patience have grown slightly. I think it did the work! LOL. He developed a special bond with Keneth, which we treasure. Marianela and Keneth, you are genuine visionaries. We respect how you put your heart and commitment into this unique project amid Puerto Rico's many daily challenges. Your legacy and social impact is not to be underestimated! ¡Un abrazo fuertisimo desde Holanda!

5.00Great experience, excellent attention. The coaches were excellent, always paying attention to what you do and making sure you learn specifics. I was taking the climber certification, and was able to learn all the details so I can go with my kid, also certified with Roca Norte, on climbing trips of our own knowing that we are prepared and know the safety to do the sport.
