What To Expect

You will learn the basic skills of climbing, belaying and attaching yourself to the climbing rope. We will complete a number of different rock climbs, and maybe an abseil too. There is a massive choice of climbs available, including some of the best in the UK, so no matter your fitness / skill level we can give you an enjoyable, challenging and fun session out.

⸻ Had an amazing experience with Steve as our rock climbing instructor. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and made us feel completely safe and supported throughout. We learned a lot and had a fantastic time. I can’t recommend this trip enough – an unforgettable experience!

We had a great morning climbing in Borrowdale with Andy. My wife was a little bit anxious as she hadn't climbed before and is a little scared of heights. Andy was very reassuring and managed to get her on the wall!! Andy was good fun and great with the kids. It was a really enjoyable family experience.

We booked (very!) last minute and couldn’t have picked better. Woody was great craic, took loads of photos and made sure that all seven of our group got something out of the session, though I’d probably recommend groups of 4-6 to make sure you get plenty of time climbing. We could have easily enjoyed a full day here and think we would all happily come back and have another go.

A fantastic day! I learnt so much and felt confident enough to start climbing at my local wall after, we went to a great location and I was given the opportunity to challenge myself ina really safe environment! I would definitely recommend this day out to anyone interested in climbing!

Fantastic experience with our instructor Steve, a really enjoyable session that was the highlight of our holiday! Great to see the confidence it gave my 2 children aged 10 & 7 especially when doing the abseil. Highly recommended and would definitely book again next year.

Fantastic time! Weather looked like it was going to spoil plans but John found the perfect spot to try out climbing. Communication was 1st class from booking to the actual day of climbing. John was helpful, patient and informative and we really enjoyed our morning. We would definitely use this company again! Thanks so much!

We took the Rock Climbing Taster and loved it. Booking via Tripadvisor was very easy and John was in touch with us very soon afterwards. All the relevant info was sent to us in good time. The rendezvous at the climbing site was clearly set out and easy to get to. John was welcoming, reassuring, and set everyone at ease with his humour and relaxed delivery of all the things we needed to know to get started. The climbs were across 3 different lines on a rock face about 10-12m high with varying challenges. If you've never climbed before and fancy a go this is a great way to try! We were lucky with sunny weather and a mild day, hopefully you will be just as lucky. We definitely recommend it and is well worth the time and money. Be sure to take pics while you are there. John took some on the day so we didn't bother. But only one of us appeared on the fringes of one pic out of seven he uploaded later. A shame but not a showstopper!!
