The main goal is simple: to see and photograph the Northern Lights with you in the picture, using our professional cameras and years of photography know-how.
We drive as far as needed, even across the border to Sweden if that’s where the lights are.
Total tour duration is between 4 to 6 hours, depending on the conditions of the night.

Our team monitors live aurora data 24/7, satellite cloud maps, and weather models throughout the day. Once we confirm the conditions are good enough, we move. And when we move, we commit fully: we drive as far as needed - sometimes 50 km, sometimes 200+ km - to find clear skies an seeing the lights.

What To Expect
Rovaniemi
We continuously monitor solar wind movements to know when the Northern Lights are at their best. It is recommended to make a reservation for the first day of your arrival. If the forecast for the booked day is poor, we will move the reservation to the next day and so on. If suitable day cannot be found, the payment will be returned. We do not make a trip if the possibilities are impossible. This is how you ensure the best chance to see the Northern lights. We travel by minivans and small groups to make sure that experience is best possible. We recommend to take snack with you for the evening and warm clothes. We are focused to find Northern lights and that is why we do not focus on making campfires and grilling sausages and drinks because it is usually just impossible due to weather and driving :)

We go nearest secret spot where is open sky and chance to see the Northern Lights! If the sky is not clear, we move to next spots!

Average Aurora Experience – Large Group, Limited Time, Not as Expected

3.00We had to pay extra for the tour to go ahead due to cloud cover in Rovaniemi. While we did see the aurora faintly (it appeared better in cameras), the overall experience didn’t fully match expectations. Hot drinks were provided at the office before boarding, but none were available during the tour itself, which was a bit disappointing given the cold conditions and how it was described. Time at each stop felt quite limited, and locations were often crowded with multiple groups, making it hard to fully enjoy the experience. Despite paying almost the same price as a small-group tour (including the extra charge), we were placed in a large bus with 40+ people. This made the photography setup quite difficult managing such a large group with a single photographer meant long waits during active aurora moments. Photos were shared by the next morning, which was appreciated, but the process during the tour was not very smooth. I would recommend bringing your own tripod and camera instead of relying on the tour photos. Overall, this might still work if conditions are strong, but on nights with weak activity or poor weather, expectations should be adjusted.

1.00We booked this Book Lapland tour and had a very disappointing experience — not because we didn’t see the northern lights, but because of how the tour was handled. During the trip, the guide explicitly told us that weather conditions were unsuitable and that the tour should have been canceled. Despite this, the tour still went ahead and lasted over 8 hours (toilet door broken), far exceeding the advertised 4–6 hours. This was especially difficult as we were traveling with elderly family members. Being kept on a bus for such a long time under poor conditions caused significant physical discomfort and felt completely unnecessary. The issue here is not the unpredictability of the aurora, which we fully understand, but the decision to proceed with the tour despite clearly unsuitable conditions. It gave the impression that the tour continued to avoid cancellations rather than to provide a reasonable experience. Tip for future travelers: We are the only 1% of the unlucky that has cloud cover over north that we were unable to see even slight aurora, I believe over 90% people will be happy with clear sky. Just think before booking as you maybe the 1% experiencing what we experienced. if the sky is clear and solar activity is strong, you can often see the aurora without needing a long “hunting” tour. Before booking, check the weather forecast and cloud coverage across Finland, as well as aurora activity levels. If there is heavy cloud cover over a large area, it’s better not to book in advance. In our experience, it’s safer to book closer to the date when conditions are favorable, rather than relying on operators to make the call and reschedule appropriately.

5.00Really loved the experience. SK and Jeremias ensured that everyone gets photos & to our heart's content till we could see Aurora. Definitely book with them. Finding their store is easy, they were sure about where we could potentially see the Northern Lights. Plus, they treated us with coffee & cookies before the trip started and hot juice & cookies during our photo session.

5.00Thank you SK and Jeremias, we had a wonderful time and saw the aurora on a full moon night with clouds! We rode two and a half hours north from Rovaniemi to Levi. The ride was very smooth. We stopped by a beautiful frozen lake and the stars were very visible. Then we saw the aurora and it was very strong and it danced a few times. The tour can get a bit chaotic because of the number of people (and not everyone behaves sadly, turning on flash when told not to… but that’s not the tour company’s fault!). It was absolutely worth the price, especially because it was cloudy in Rovaniemi for four days prior.
