This is for you who wants to maximise the chances to see the Northern Lights – and minimise the need for luck!
The main goal is simple: to see and photograph the Northern Lights with you in the picture, using our professional cameras and years of photography know-how.
We drive as far as needed, even across the border to Sweden if that’s where the lights are.
Total tour duration is between 4 to 6 hours, depending on the conditions of the night.
We’ve explored countless locations around Lapland.
Our team monitors live aurora data 24/7, satellite cloud maps, and weather models throughout the day. Once we confirm the conditions are good enough, we move. And when we move, we commit fully: we drive as far as needed - sometimes 50 km, sometimes 200+ km - to find clear skies an seeing the lights.

What To Expect
Rovaniemi
We continuously monitor solar wind movements to know when the Northern Lights are at their best. It is recommended to make a reservation for the first day of your arrival. If the forecast for the booked day is poor, we will move the reservation to the next day and so on. If suitable day cannot be found, the payment will be returned. We do not make a trip if the possibilities are impossible. This is how you ensure the best chance to see the Northern lights. We travel by minivans and small groups to make sure that experience is best possible. We recommend to take snack with you for the evening and warm clothes. We are focused to find Northern lights and that is why we do not focus on making campfires and grilling sausages and drinks because it is usually just impossible due to weather and driving :)

We go nearest secret spot where is open sky and chance to see the Northern Lights! If the sky is not clear, we move to next spots!

1.00It was an unplesant experience because of the organization. At first it was supposed to be a small group experience, non distance limits. They would drive anywhere to make you see the aurora. The same day they sent an e-mail in which they announced that because of the Weather conditions in rovaniemi it was necessary to drive up north so they asked for 80 euro more, each person, to actually do what they were supposed to do in the first place. At the arrival at the agency we saw that they actually organized trips with very large groapa, with trip buses (more or less 60 persons per bus). No gear provided, no drinks, no snacks. The fotos were very imprecise and the guides were quite impolite and inappropriate. We saw the aurora from a parking lot where we stayed for like only 10 minutes. It is normal for the aurora to be unpredictable but there is no reason for the experience to be unplesant. The experience is what counts more, not the outcome

5.00They actually managed to find Northern Lights where other agencies cancelled the tours due to the cloud cover over Rovaniemi and surrounding areas. However, we were also 10h on the road and only 05:30 back again. The Northern Lights were really impressive and the pictures they took of us with the lights are of super quality. We are happy and it was worth the 10h ride

5.00We were so worried when we learned we would t be able to see the Northern Lights from our hotel and so relieved when we booked this tour. Our guide, Luca, went over and beyond driving 6 hours each way to ensure we saw the lights and he took wonderful photos of us with the lights, a truly memorable souvenir. When we found the lights, he pulled over to the side of the road, took photos, and he even made a camp fire so we could stay warm. He offered hot tea and cookies. The conditions were tough at times with the weather but he drove so carefully, we never felt unsafe. He was kind and patient. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming to the area.

5.00Was sceptical about booking this tour as it's a 50-50 chance but saw the reviews and went ahead with it anyways. I badly wanted to see the Northern Lights and of course capture a photo in person. Glad it all came true. Paul and SK were amazing throughout the tour and the bus driver too. Took all the effort to take us to Sweden as Finland was cloudy and we saw the Northern Lights exactly as advertised. Could only get the green aura but then can't ask for more after 4 hours of travel and hunting. Gave us hot coffee in the office initially and then took the perfect pictures for our social medias. Paul and SK were very enthusiastic and took multiple photos of everyone to feel better. It was the perfect tour and happy it all came down so well. Would recommend you all to book the tour as even though it says it's chancy, rest assured, it's a 90% chance of being successful as the tour group goes all in and takes every effort to make it come true. Lapland Roveniami overall has been amazing and very glad to visit the North Pole at least once in my lifetime.
