  Me and my 5year old son had an amazing experience with Visit Lapland Tours near Rovaniemi! The guides /Matti was the driver/ were super friendly, professional and dedicated. The three of them were committed to make our trip a great experience. The Aurora Hunting tour was unforgettable with stunning views and even reindeer feeding. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lapland. I would definitely book with them again!

  We were traveling with Matti, as the weather was very bad in Rovaniemi Matti drove with us far across the border to Sweden and were then lucky enough to see aurora borealis and were able to take great photos.

  I had an amazing experience with Visit Lapland Tours! The staff were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly. The Aurora Hunting tour was unforgettable, with stunning views and a knowledgeable guide who made the evening even more special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lapland—I’d definitely book with them again!

  A real catastrophe. Amateur work. We were 20 minutes behind schedule, including 10 minutes due to four late arrivals, and then an unscheduled 10 minute stop to pick up another small group. The delay was not the guide’s fault, but with changing weather conditions, it is expected that everything will be done to move quickly, even if it means not accepting further delays and accelerating. Throughout the route, we were 20 to 25 minutes late compared to the other vans, which made us get to the spots when the others were already leaving. In addition, at each stop, there was a lot of cloud, and several people in the group had to point out to the guide the areas where the sky seemed clearer depending on the weather application, which he barely seemed to take into account. In the end, we were really disappointed. The agency tells us that we saw the Northern Lights, except that they were absolutely not visible to the naked eye, only by phone thanks to the camera (and again). Who can settle for that? I will not even mention the extremely dangerous parking of the driver, in the middle of the road, in total darkness, without headlights on. An unacceptable situation. The sky was cloudy over much of the country, making it obvious that nothing would be seen that evening. If the objective was to see something, we had to go to Oulu, further south. The agency seemed mostly interested in money, that’s all I felt. As the guide so rightly said: “It’s not easy tonight” – indeed, if the weather conditions are not favorable, it’s better not to go. You will save both time and money. Finally, even leaving an hour earlier, they didn’t respect the schedule, and we arrived at 2:45 in the morning after dropping off each participant and made other stops under the snow... impossible to see anything. The guide should've cut that exit short. Everyone was disappointed.

  We decided to take this tour at the very last minute (1 hour before departure) and yet the agency was kind enough to accommodate us on their vans. The van was comfortable and warm and the driver skilled to drive smoothly in the snow. They picked us up in the city center right on time. We unfortunately were not blessed with the sight of the northern lights despite the clear sky; unfortunately it is not possible to control natural events. That being said, the guides did everything in their power to search for the northern lights. They really went above and beyond, kept monitoring conditions through different tools, and drove to uncountable spots searching for them. This was meant to be a 3-4 hours tour but the guides were so committed that they drove far away in the pursuit of the lights, and the tour lasted almost 5 hours at no additional price. They also served us warm drinks and snacks which we really enjoyed. The guides / drivers were awesome and pleasant people to spend the evening with. The tour offers a 20% refund in case lights could not be seen, which was our case. The refund was promptly processed 2 days after, and the agent replied to all our messages real time within few minutes. Overall very responsive, polite, and honest. We had few more passengers in our van, 2 of whom were frankly rude customers behaving with an incredible amount of arrogance and impoliteness. It was inspiring to see how the driver dealt with them with politeness and professionalism to cause no distress to the other passengers. I overall strongly recommend this tour, these agency showed their people are hard working, honest, polite and have significant customer management skills. If I manage to come back in the future I will surely reach out to this company to organize my northern light tours every single night.
