The Rucu Pichincha is located west of the city of Quito, in the western Andes. We will start our tour at 9:30am to enter the cable car and ascend to 4.050msnm. where our route to the summit will begin, during this journey of approximately 3-4 hours we can enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape, its mountains and moors, as well as a panoramic view of the city of Quito.
The journey is physically a bit demanding due to the altitude and the ascent that is made from the starting point, it requires suitable shoes for trekking, clothes for the cold (waterproof jacket, buff or scarf, gloves and hat, also a jacket warm), sunscreen.
Upon reaching the summit we will enjoy the magnificent view that the place offers, here we will stay a few minutes before starting with the descent.
Important: If there is bad weather the tour is cancelled for everyone's safety.

5.00Adrès was great, I was solo with him and we got along fantastic. The cable cars to Rucu ended up being closed for maintenance on our tour date, so offered to hike the Puluahua Crater & the visit Inti Equator Museum instead. It was a decent alternative. We also went and got great Civiche on the way home. Super cool guy was professional and had a great day. He was booked other days and I really wish I could have made it up to Rucu which looks epic

5.00I had an amazing experience with Andres climbing the Rucu Pichincha. I went alone and he was very attentive throughout the tour, making sure I felt good at every turn. It was Punctual, Friendly and Pro, which made me feel safe at all times. It is the perfect activity if you like nature and want to challenge yourself a little. The views are breathtaking, totally recommended!
Female solo traveler. No experience with high elevation. Stayed at Quito for 2 nights before hiking.

5.00I’m a flat lander from USA and traveling alone. It was my real first hike with elevation. It was rough, really. But the views were amazing. Andrés was great. Very protection to reach out before departure for instructions and very attentive during the hike. If you’re just a city folk with no experience go for it. It’d be fun and unforgettable!
