Santa Maria
Santa Maria Salt Flats It consists of a protected area covering 69 hectares. Santa Maria was founded in 1830 for the production of salt. Up to 30,000 tons of salt were shipped from Santa Maria each year.
Murdeira
This is a small village on the island of Sal, once a small fishing village. Nowadays it is a private development that led to the construction of a tourist village by the sea. The village is situated on the west coast, 8 km south of the island's capital Espargos and 10 km north of Santa Maria. Approximately halfway along the island's main highway.

5.00We had a great day sightseeing. Our guide was Kendall. He explained everything really well and was very friendly. The price is good compared to the competition. However, it should be noted that you have to pay an additional €3 for Blue Eye, €3 for the sharks, and €6 for admission to Solinas. I recommend it to everyone.

5.00We had a great trip. The roads are something else but that wasn't the drivers fault. Lunch was good and reasonably priced. Driver was good (safe) and friendly. Saw everything and had a good time. We have mobility issues and still enjoyed the trip even though we could not participate in everything on offer. Good value.

5.00What a wonderful day seeing, learning about and experiencing the island. Great communication before hand with name of our guide and a picture of the vehicle we were being picked up in. Nothing was rushed and Luis our guide was a font of knowledge.

5.00Through friends the tip to go with Logan Tours the day trip over the island. Together with an older couple from England and 3 ladies from Portugal. Kendall drove us around in a nice new Pickup. He was very helpful, friendly and cheerful. The group dynamics were definitely good! Explanation in fluent English and Portuguese. Thanks again for the beautiful day.

5.00We booked the island tour and went on Friday the week just gone and Kendal was excellent, couldn’t do enough for us! He was offering to take pictures of us without us needing to ask and he would help us all when it came to climbing around the blue eye, he ever took my phone and climbed in to a cave to take some pictures for me, while making it look effortless! Couldn’t recommend him enough and the island itself was beautiful - Kendal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
