What To Expect
Our English-speaking driver will wait for you outside the airport holding a sign with your name and will help you carry your luggage to the van. From there we will take you out of the Central Valley by route 1 to reach San Ramón approximately halfway through and make a stop to use the bathrooms, eat or simply stretch your legs. After this convenient stop we will continue down the mountains until we reach the northern plains of Costa Rica and drop you off at your hotel in La Fortuna downtown, at the base of the majestic Arenal Volcano.

5.00Last week we used Fortuna expeditions for 3 private transfers , San Jose to La Fortuna , La Fortuna to Monteverde and Monteverde to San Jose. Carlos was so helpful in answering all my questions related to these bookings. The drivers were on time and drove carefully and we felt safe all the time. Would highly recommend them for private transfers.

5.00Our flight was delayed from Newark. Our driver waited for us and made the lengthy drive to La Fortuna the best experience that it could be. He stopped for dinner and bottled water. He was extremely understanding when the windy roads made most of us car sick.

5.00Carlos at La Fortuna expeditions was wonderful in helping us plan our trip! Alfredo drove us to and from the airport and La Fortuna! He was so nice and friendly! The van was clean and comfortable. He even took us to a wonderful breakfast place since we were starved ! He really made our first and last hours in La Fortuna memorable! Carlos then helped us plan our ATV experience, the Safari Float and our Zip Lining. I would highly recommend all the activities - the Safari Float was one of my families favorite! It was so beautiful and relaxing ! We got to see a lot of wildlife as well. The transfers to and from the activities were so easy ! I also liked that Carlos answered any questions that I had in a very timely manner and also made suggestions on what was feasible in terms of driving around the area as we did have a car as well. I would highly recommend La Fortuna expeditions for all your needs !

5.00This was definitely the way to travel from San Jose to La Fortuna. The vehicle was nice and well air conditioned, and the driver was very friendly. We got to see a lot of great terrain and views along the way. Much easier than driving!
