Your journey begins based on your selection: with pickup from Athinios Port, or without pickup from the Old Port of Fira.

The first stop is the volcano, where you’ll have 1.5 hours to hike its rugged trails and explore its unique landscape. A 5€ entrance fee is required to access the volcano. Your tour escort will guide you along the paths, sharing fascinating stories about its history and eruptions. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water for this moderate hike, which rewards you with stunning panoramic views at the summit.

Next, sail to the hot springs at Palea Kameni. The boat will anchor 30-50 meters from the springs, requiring a swim to reach the warm, sulfur-rich waters. This activity is recommended only for strong swimmers due to the distance.

The final stop is Thirassia, where you can explore its charming villages, take in breathtaking views, or savor a delicious meal at a traditional taverna before returning to your starting port.

  • Disappointing, agitating, disorganised

Unfortunately, this was one of the most underwhelming boat trips I’ve been on — and I’ve done quite a few around the world. The boarding process was chaotic, with multiple queues forming for no clear reason, even though everyone ended up on the same boat. The sea was choppy during loading, and the delay in getting everyone on board left several passengers feeling unwell, including my friend who became physically sick. The visit to the volcano was mildly interesting, but the tour lacked structure. People were left to wander around with little guidance, and the information provided felt repetitive and disorganised. What really made the trip unpleasant, though, was the music on board — loud, jarring reggaeton and EDM played on a loop, with inconsistent volume levels. It completely clashed with the otherwise beautiful scenery of Santorini. Even with noise-cancelling headphones, I could still hear the same few songs being repeated over and over again. To top it off, the return journey was just as disorganised. Multiple buses were scattered across different pickup points, and there was no clear signage or staff direction. It seemed inevitable that some people would end up missing their bus back. Overall, this trip lacked coordination and care. Definitely not worth the time or money. I wish I booked the 3h trip and not wasted the day on this boat.

The Santorini Caldera Cruise was a wonderful experience! The boat ride offered stunning views of the island and the Aegean Sea. The volcano tour was a real adventure — mostly hiking over rugged terrain, so good shoes are a must! It was amazing to see the volcanic landscape up close. We couldn't visit Thirassia as it wasn’t open yet, but the trip was still very enjoyable. Swimming near the hot springs was a unique and refreshing experience. Overall, it was a great day filled with unforgettable sights!

The boat trip was good, the bus driver was a bit grumpy if you ask him for details. I assume it's a language barrier. The boat trip started out nicely but due to the fact of earthquakes the second stop didn't happen but rather we ended up in 2 swims rather than one which caused a problem for people who don't swim .... I just ended up ordering food on board and sit 45 min twice till the trip is ended

Tour was booked for 3 activities (Volcano boat tour, Hot springs & Therasia for the duration of 6 hour, 2 activities were good but for Therasia tour we were told that island is closed & we can't go there instead we waited in Island for nearly 1 hour, doing nothing. If that is case then why tour was booked in 1st place as they would have known that island is closed, we would have booked 3 hour tour with Volcano & hot spring tour. Just wasted 3 hours doing nothing & paid more for 6 hour tour. Let down by mis information.

Whilst waiting at the bus stop for 30 mins after the agreed pickup time, I called the office and was told the tour had been cancelled due to “bad weather” it was a sunny day with no wind.
