Our guide was a true expert – passionate, eloquent, and full of fascinating stories about Byzantine churches, Ottoman mosques, and hidden monasteries that most tourists never see. The sheer majesty and preserved beauty of these sacred sites is breathtaking; centuries of history literally surround you. I was especially touched by how the tour emphasized Albania’s unique religious harmony – seeing Christian frescoes, Islamic calligraphy, and Bektashi symbols side by side in perfect peace was truly inspiring.
