Located just offshore from one of Cyprus’s most ancient cities, the Amathus Ruins dive site offers a unique blend of history and marine life. This shallow dive is ideal for all experience levels and rewards divers with frequent sightings of rays, lionfish, octopus, barracuda, nudibranchs, small reef fish and the occasional sea turtle gliding by. Scattered stone columns and remnants of the ancient harbour create a fascinating underwater landscape, making it a favourite for divers interested in both archaeology and aquatic life. Calm conditions and good visibility make this site perfect for a relaxed, rewarding dive with plenty to discover.

What To Expect
Get ready for your first taste of the underwater world with our fun and easy Discover Scuba Diving experience. No certification or previous experience needed. All you need is a sense of adventure. Before your visit, you'll receive a link to complete your pre-dive paperwork and a short, interactive eLearning session on the PADI app. This helps you get comfortable with the basics before you even arrive. When you get to the dive centre, we’ll fit you with your gear for the day and introduce you to your instructor. They’ll walk you through essential safety information and the simple skills you’ll need to dive under their direct supervision. From there, it’s just a short 15 minute drive to the ancient Harbor City of Amathus, where you’ll practice a few basic skills in shallow, calm water. Once you’re feeling confident, it’s time for your first real dive. You’ll explore the underwater world with your instructor by your side every step of the way. The full experience takes less than 3 hours and is the perfect way to find out if diving is for you. - We do not visit the Amathus Ruins on land, only the Amathus Ruins under water. You are welcome to self-tour the Ruins after the dive.

5.00I am a nervous diver and my son had never dived before. The team are all Very friendly, Nikki explained the process clearly so was easy to book, we had a 30 minute e learning which we did the day before, the app was very easy to use. The next day we arrived at 8am for our face to face training. Eli & Marcell were brilliant trainers they made us feel relaxed and comfortable. On the dive our trainers were very professional, we had a one to one pro diver with us one at the front and one at the back, they were very patient with us and made my sons first dive to “The Barge shipwreck” a fantastic experience, fun & memorable. My son and I both recommend The Aquatic Centre 100% Thank you guys 🙏🚤🤿
