SEA LIFE Brighton
Step out of the Victorian Arcade and enter into the hot and humid rainforest to experience what life is like beneath the tropical treetops. Winding through the roots and tree trunks, rainforest rivers are home to some spectacular fish. As you step through the roots of a giant tree an Anaconda welcomes you to her home. Follow her trail towards a mystical ruined temple and you'll come across some magical Water dragons, colorful Poison Dart Frogs, and fearsome Piranhas. As you explore the rainforest, don't forget to say hi to a group of rescued terrapins, they're waiting to meet you. Take a seat in the beautiful Victorian auditorium built in 1872 and see the incredible 750,000-liter ocean display. Here you can get great views from above of the 3 species of sharks, rescued sea turtles, rays and tropical fish. This is where you can also board a glass bottom boat experience. Purchase a ticket at admissions at the start of your visit to get even closer to the incredible creatures. After, take a stroll under the sea as you experience the ocean display through an amazing glass tunnel. Shoals of glittering fish swim alongside you whilst the enormous Green Sea Turtles Lulu and Gulliver glide slowly over your head. Seahorses may sound like mythical creatures but you can see just how real and amazing they are. See the seahorses grip on seagrass with their curly tails and suck up tiny shrimp with their straw-like snouts; if you're lucky you may even hear their unique "finger-clicking" sounds as they feed. Find out more about seahorse breeding program at SEA LIFE Brighton. Come and meet the newest residents in a brand new display – Secrets of the Reef. Dive in and discover the tropical paradise of a Maldives Reef. Meet its most famous residents like the regal tang and clownfish and get closer than ever before in a crawl through a tunnel. Understand what threatens their future, and see how SEA LIFE is helping by working with a local community out in the Maldives to help rebuild a coral reef. Meet the armored division of the marine world. Learn about the amazing anatomy of crabs and find out what makes them one of the most powerful predators of the seabed. The Claws exhibit hosts different crustaceans from around the world and features the Japanese spider crab, the largest arthropod in the world, with legs that can reach 12-feet across when fully grown!

Very small, not worth the price. We came across rude start and the photo printing tills. 1 photo is £15! The same price as the tickets.

Amazing visit. Loved Udon the octopus. She came over and mirrored my hand on the glass and tried to bring me her Lego. It was a magical moment.

Spent a lovely birthday with my son and hubby today at the Sealife Centre Brighton. I had a discount for tickets but even without that, I think the price is good compared to other attraction admission prices. They have a great collection of sealife and a few land animals too. We managed to catch the shark and turtle feeding time which was great to watch and the commentary was brilliant. My 6 yr old loves the see though tunnel walk. We were in there for about 2hrs but we did grab a quick lunch at the Costa they have there. It wasn't too busy and there were staff around to ask any questions to. Definitely a 5 star visit. Thanks for a great birthday.

Really solid aquarium with some fun exhibits. The animals look well cared for and there are decent displays about them, but I wish it were easier to read them - the displays are electric and change every few seconds so you have to wait to read about each animal. The historical aspect is nice, and the lighting on the old arches is really spectacular. We were lucky enough to catch a talk about the turtles and sharks which was well-done. The aquarium is relatively small compared to some other Sea Life aquariums but it's really nice and worth a visit.

Excellent experience for all ages! I went with my 4 year old and a 1 year old and there was something for everyone. The building itself is stunning and the exhibitions are carefully curated to draw interest and curiosity. I specially enjoyed the rock pulling talk and the large tank of sharks and turtles.

Me and my three year old came here and we had the best time. We didn't do the extra features like the glass-bottom boat or the VR because I couldn't afford it on the day, but once we saw them I wish we had! The shark feeding was interesting, all the tanks were spotlessly clean and we really enjoyed the interactive rock pool feature. Such an amazing place, can't fault it.

We had a really disappointing experience at Sea Life Brighton. As we were leaving the aquarium through the gift shop, a staff member with dark hair and large glasses shouted across the room at myself and my 5-year-old: “You need to show me a ticket, you can’t go in there!” It was loud enough for everyone in the shop to hear and was very embarrassing. It also frightened my young children who figured they'd done something wrong. I assume she thought we were trying to get in for free but she could have come up to us quietly to check, the situation felt hostile and unnecessary (we provided receipts to show we'd been through). I wasn’t originally going to leave a negative review, as I understand one staff member doesn’t represent the whole attraction. However, I went through the official complaints process and was told the CCTV would be checked, but I’ve since been ignored. That lack of follow-up left me very disappointed, and I think it’s only fair to let other families know this could happen. The aquarium itself was fine, but unfortunately this experience overshadowed it for us.
