We’ll leisurely cruise along rural roads, touring vineyards and small villages. Stopping along the way I’ll share some interesting tales of the valley as we discover Slovenia’s biggest mystery! When reaching the medieval town of Vipavski Križ, we’ll stop for a good reason... It’s time to learn about the secret wine that fascinated the Roman Emperor!
To join this experience you don`t have to be in good physical shape. Very basic fitness is enough but you need some skill to ride a bicycle! If you have special dietary requirements please let us know.

RockVelo is bike tours operator in the Vipava Valley. We`re located in the medieval village of Skrilje that`s dating back to 10th century. This is a very unique place to start a bike tour!

5.00What a lovely trip. Alex got in touch before the start to suggest a later start given the heatwave and really glad he did. The bikes (not used e-bikes before and they were great, especially on the climbs) were new and really good quality and the route was beautiful with lots to see. We had a great couple of hours riding and then an excellent hour at the wine tasting with Patrick who was a really engaging host. We would throughly recommend the trip as a great way to spend the afternoon. We stopped there on our way between Bled and Piran and it was a lovely way to break up the journey. Your biggest issue is working out who will drive for the last hour!

5.00Amazing family experience. All bikes were in superb condition, even the ones for our children (which is rare). We got clear directions (GPS guided) to the most beautiful places in Vipava valley. We'll definitely come back as it became by far the best bike rental experience we had in life. Thank you Jana and Aleksej. P.S. there's a good coffe at the bike rental place!

4.00Very good overall experience. We rented the bikes and they had them ready for us. New, clean and very comfortable bikes. They explained the route and gave us the map and so on. Very kind. In the middle of the route, the chain of one of the bikes broke (up to twice). A couple of calls to Rockvelo and they fixed it. They have some partners in the area with whom they support themselves. Finally, due to the situation, we were refunded the amount of one of the bikes. In any case, they knew how to deal very well with what happened and didn’t leave us lying around. The route through the vineyards very simple, pleasant and without any risk. It runs along some stretch of road (with few cars) but mostly on tracks. Overall a good experience, friendly, resolute and with good flow. ;)

5.00It was a magical ride through the Slovenian vineyards. It was definitely worth it. Alex, the guide, was really kind and told us some nice facts about the area during the trip. The e-mountainbikes were super nice and made it very comfy. After the trip we did a wine tasting with our group, with local wines in an idyllic place. It completed the whole experience. Overall just amazing!

5.00We had an amazing day! We cycled for about 2 hours through beautiful vineyards. It was quite easy, because of the e-bike. After that we stopped to taste some wine and some local food. They even organised a vegetarian option! Alex, the guide, is a great guy. We kept in touch after that day. He gave us a lot of tips on where to go in Slovenia. He really made our stay here a lot better! It is an absolute must if you are in the Vipava Valley!

5.00Our first meetingpoint was in Dobrovo, there we noticed the e-bike for our 8 year old daughter was to big. No problem for Jana, she found us a 'normal' bike with the right size. Aleksej replanned our route so we could all enjoy this beautiful countryside, even without an e-bike. Many thanks, both of you, keep on the right (eco) spirit!

5.00Very friendly owner and his family , i would suggest everyone who is in the vicinity to take their ebike tour and finish in Vipavski Križ with a taste of local cuisine.
