What To Expect
Our shared journey from Antigua to Panajachel is designed to provide you with comfort and peace of mind throughout your entire trip. When you book with us, we will provide all the necessary information to the driver for pick-up and drop-off. The usual route that we take is from Antigua, passing through the towns of El Tejar, Patzicia, Tecpan, Las Trampas, Las Cruces, and arriving in Panajachel. Drop off points are in Panajachel downtown area. We do not go to any other towns, unless you book a private ride with us, we will inform you about the price. We make a stop half way at a gas station for 5 minutes to use the restrooms. Please be kind to other passengers, our bus is usually fully booked. Passengers who cannot fit in one seat or who encroach upon adjacent seats are required to purchase a second, adjacent seat.

3.00My driver was nice but we were really crammed in the vehicle. There should be something in place for seating arrangements. As someone who is tall, and not the most petite, having to sit in the middle in the front seat was EXTREMELY uncomfortable for such a long journey, and god forbid an accident was to have happened, my knees would’ve been the first to go! Luckily they stop at a gas station halfway but still

3.00Well to be honest I’d pay the extra and go private. The driver was good but we had to wait till 1pm for a no show. 12.15 is meet time and 12.30 is supposed to be departing time 15 mins is plenty of grace time. I originally couldn’t find a private taxi online but plenty of Travel agents in Antigua to book with plus you can even do Uber. If you’re on a budget then I get it.

1.00No pickups available on weekends. It says 12:15 but in fact it won’t leave until the van was fully loaded. We departed at 13:00. The last row seats have limited legroom and it was super uncomfortable when fully packed. The driver stopped midway through a two-hour drive at a gas station to have delivered fried chicken, all the passengers were waiting for him for another 20 mins. Later my friend told me she only paid $16/Q120 for the same trip, booked through a local travel agency.

3.00Driver was on time and drove safely. But, made everyone get off at one stop and walk with luggage and bags instead of dropping off at the dock. It was a large group of us needing to get to the dock. Had to walk a good mile up hill in the heat.

2.00The shuttle was supposed to pick me up at my hotel and the evening prior contacted me to ask that instead I meet them at a different location, about a 30-minute walk from my hotel. This required me to cut my morning a bit short and carry heavy luggage a fair distance, but I did so and arrived about 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to make sure I wouldn’t miss the bus. At least half of the prepaid passengers arrived late, and rather than depart on time the bus waited and waited and waited. We didn’t leave until 45 minutes after the scheduled departure time, which means we got in that much later than anticipated and I missed my planned afternoon activity. While it is a shared and not private shuttle, I would expect that to keep passengers on time and given that it’s already been prepaid, the shuttle will operate like every other mode of shared transport, departing at the scheduled time. I would have loved an additional 90 minutes in Antigua in the morning had I known it was an option, or to get here on time and do my afternoon activity, but instead I got an unplanned and unpleasant walk across town to wait 45 mins for the bus instead of being picked up and then to wait another 45 past schedule.
