  On a last trip to Central America take two services in Guatego. The first from Panajachel to Antigua. The hours said 12.00pm and 3 hours to Antigua. In the end we left 12.30pm (minor transfer delay) and took almost 4 hours. It didn't hurt us much. The problem was on the Tegucigalpa to La Ceiba service. The ticket, bought in Guatego, on Cristina transports, said the bus left at 7.30am. At the terminal we were told that they do NOT have this service, that the bus left at 8am. We did not find it serious and waited quietly in the terminal. He left at 8am, as planned. According to Guatego's information, the trip takes 7 hours (I just checked back). Departing 7.30am we were supposed to be in La Ceiba at 2.30pm; our ferry to Roatan departed at 4.30pm. I thought it was loose. Still, leaving at 8am, there was a certain amount of slack (assuming the bus finally took about 8 hours, not the planned 7). The reality is that the bus takes about 10 hours to travel. We missed the ferry. We lost the first night (already paid hotel). We had to pay for an additional hotel in La Ceiba. All to trust (even with a slack) in the travel times indicated by Guatego. When we asked about Transportes Cristina and other passengers, they told us that it ALWAYS takes more than 9 hours. And it did.

  The drivers packed the car full of people which wasn't bad, the driving was good for the long duration of the drive then half the folks got onto another transport midway which made our journey a bit more comfortable. The staff was overall pretty friendly and let us stop for a bathroom break and food/drinks. The price wasn't bad but honestly we could've gotten a private transfer for comparable amount and less people. The driver didn't drop us off at our hotel and we ended up having to walk 3 blocks with our luggage to the hotel on cobble stone road which was very annoying and frustrating especially given the cost of the journey. Overall I would use this again but be mindful of where we're going, how many people will be in your shuttle and how long it takes/cost.

  The van picked me up 50 minutes late. The instructions were to call the company if the van was more than 15 minutes late. No one answered the phone. No one responded to my text. I was the last one picked up. There were 13 people and I was crammed into the back with 3 other large people. My legs didn't fit. And I was the very last person dropped off.

  Experience was great we had to wait for tour bus to arrive but we got there with plenty of time and ride was great no complaints there good thing is that they do wait 5 min after departure time if your running late

  I can only recommend GuateGo. I've been using their shuttles to get through whole Guatemala and they've always been on time, they were always available during their working hours and the service was super helpful and friendly! When I got sick they made a rebooking for me without any problems!
