Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show
The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show reflects upon southeast Alaska’s rich logging history and comes to life with thrilling displays of strength and agility. These world champion athletes wearing spiked boots & hard hats compete in 12 athletic events that utilize seven-pound axes, six-foot razor sharp saws, tree climbing gaffs, and souped up chainsaws. Your cheers will turn to roars of excitement as axes fly through the air, men free fall from tall trees, and then run atop spinning logs floating in the water. The show is held in a covered, heated, and cushioned grandstand 10 minutes - walk to show site 60 minutes - show

This was a fun non excursion experience in Ketchikan. The show was impressive as the tasks done look very difficult. There was lots of audience participation and great jokes along the way. I thought the price was a bit high, but still an overall good and fun experience. The lumberjacks are very talented and the host Lasagna Joe was charismatic and funny. It doesn’t hurt that the lumberjacks are cute too. This is a family friendly restaurant experience that I do recommend. Fun.

Show goes rain or shine. Audience is under covered bleachers. Good hot dogs. Very friendly cast and crew. These are indeed athletes. We enjoyed the show.

The Lumberjack show is a must see if you are in the area. Fun and energetic! They guys sure work hard and are amazing. But kinda pricey for the length of the show.

If you have never seen a lumberjack show, you are in for a real treat. The show is set up as a competition between two teams. There are a lot of corny jokes, cheers, and prizes. The loggers compete in several wood chopping, axe throwing, and log rolling events. It is good family fun.

What a show, it was exciting and great to watch. With both sides of the seating areas voting for their team either America or Canada, added bit of fun to it all. From the lumberjacks climbing the very high poles, water logging and to see how long they could stay on the logs, to axe throwing and sawing. Great fun and great entertaining show.

A stop in Ketchikan was part of our cruise and since our time was limited, I thought this would be a good diversion. We were not disappointed! Now, the show is a bit kitschy, but the host shares a lot of the history of Ketchikan and intersperses a great deal of humor. The performers are really impressive athletes and while acting may not be their forte, their lumberjack skills are truly impressive. We had a great time and considered the price money well spent.

So cool to see these guys in action. They put on a fun show with lots of humor, even while it was raining. They really just show the skills needed to be a lumber jack. Axe work, hand saws, chain saws, tree topping, and log rolling. They do it all.

Silly fun well done! They got the crowd into it from the first word. Kids would love it! Very talented ‘actors’ with mad skills! Well worth it when you need a close to the dock excursion from a cruise!

The show was a fun activity to do in Ketchikan. The young men were very proficient and skillful. The moderator was funny and well spoken. Audio was good, as well. Ever think of adding women to the mix for variety? My only negative was, that I tried via email and text to reach someone about changing a show time. No one returned my call/message. I made one last attempt to call and reached Kaya, who was most courteous and helpful. Until that point I was placed in a stressful situation not knowing if the time could be changed having cruise ship restraints. You have a one of a kind show. Wouldn't you want your business reputation reflect that? Thank you for your consideration.

The Great American Lumberjack was awesome. After we were unable to locate the tour guide, the staff was very helpful to make sure we were able to see the show and also go to the George Inlet Crab Feast. A big shout out to Rebecca at the Lumberjack show. It was fantastic!
