I booked my Singapore river cruise via TripAdvisor (operated by Viator) in advance so I could secure a specific time and ensure I got a spot as it can be quite busy. However, when I showed the operators my e-ticket, I was told that the barcode was not valid and that I needed to present a QR code instead. Unfortunately, no QR code was provided in the confirmation email from TripAdvisor. I was charged USD 26 and received a confirmation email, so I did not expect any issues. However, I ended up having to purchase another ticket on the spot because the required QR code was missing. I contacted them through my TripAdvisor account to request the correct ticket, but I did not receive any response. I then requested a full refund and was told, “Sorry, we will refund the full amount.” However, when I followed up to check on the status, I did not receive any further reply. I am still waiting for the refund. The actual tour itself was really great, however, I would not purchase e-tickets this way again. I expected TripAdvisor to be a reliable platform, so this experience was very disappointing.

Scammed by this. Email sent to me with barcode said very clearly "this is your ticket" but operator in the booth that morning would not accept it and waved us away saying "QR code only". I contacted ticket seller and was sent a second email with a replacement ticket but it was too late and I am back home so I want my money back and have asked multiple times to no avail. Buyer beware.

Not worth your money. The cruise is too short for the amount of money they charge. Really short with little gains.
