• An unforgettable Curacao experience!

  Listen… a time was HAD!!!. I was traveling solo, but I did the tour with two other women. And we had the most amazing time! The tour started off at the HANDMADE shop, where Ethan welcomed us with a welcome mimosa, a bowl of chips, and blue Curacao tastings while also telling us the history of Curacao! From there, the fun never stopped!!! He kept us laughing all afternoon! There were fun trivia questions and the award was another Blue Curacao tasting! It was a great way to learn about Curacao and also have some fun! (I want to note nobody felt forced or pressured to drink. That was just the vibe our small group had). Then, Kenan took over and continued with Curaçao’s history, the best beaches and spots to visit (touristy and local), and rum tastings!! Again, we did little trivia and were awarded with more rum tastings! Kenan was also our expert mixologist for the day! He made each of us our own custom drink based on what we liked, and even wrote down the ingredients so that we could make them at home! Kenan was a great sport and took all the jokes in stride. Truly, the whole day was full of fun & good vibes! Kenan then took us on a walking tour of the downtown area and pointed out different art pieces and took the best pictures! Finally, we ended back at the shop for the espadrilles portion of the tour. I was on a cruise ship so my time was limited near the end.. and oh how sad I was to leave 😩😩😭 I ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes (but didn’t feel like it was a hard sell or anything). Chizan (definitely spelled that wrong) let me watch her crochet flowers into a pair of shoes.. she made it look effortless. I can’t describe how fun this tour was! A special thank you to ALL of the staff at this store who made the entire tour unforgettable! When I return to Curacao, I will be doing this tour again!

• Fun Welcome and Overview of Curacao in Downtown

  This was a fun experience that provides a quick overview of Curacao with some history, tastings of several island rums, the tasting of Blue Curacao and a specialty drink, a walking tour of the downtown and a fun surprise with a show and tell on how espadrilles are made. This is a short walk to Hand Made (starting point for tour) after exiting the pier. If you are interested in shopping, you are in the shopping district for the tour so it's easy before or after. Keenan did a great job and made this a fun way to learn about the island. The tour is split between a session on comfortable benches in Hand Made and a walking tour.

  This is a must do! Informative and fun experience with tons of local tips and interactive activities! Every part of the team was excited and knowledgeable and helpful. Unlike some tours and experiences we never felt pressure to buy anything or that we were just another gig.

  The information provided about the country was very informative. The staff were fun and friendly. It was a great vibe. We tried various rums. Our tour guide, Ethan, was down to earth. The espadrilles provided were of nice quality. This is definitely worth trying.

  This excursion was full of joy, laughter, and the rich history of Curacao! We enjoyed every moment and learned so much about the island in such a short time. I highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting the island.

  I travel 2-3 times a year for the past 20 years and during many of these years, book excursions through Viator. This was one of the best I have participated in because you feel thr passion of the organizers and because it is a great blend of education-learning about Curacao-and fun, including learning first hand about the different Curacao alcohols. Truly enjoyable!
