What To Expect
Ljubljana
Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30am and you will arrive at the caves by 9:30am. The ticket counter opens at 9:30am and at 10am you will enter the caves with a local English speaking guide. This tour will include a walk of about 1hr 45minutes to 2hrs. Your private driver will meet you at the same place after your tour and will take you back to your hotel in Ljubljana.

Our driver was on time, picked us up just outside of our hotel, spoke excellent English, very pleasant, got us to the caves in 45 minutes, waited the 2 hours for us to tour the caves, and brought us back. And for a small fee, he let us add an extra stop on the way back - Predjama Castle. I would HIGHLY recommend!!

5.00Tarun was incredibly nice and hlepful and made the trip a joy. I scheduled last minute and he was there on time the next day and made everything seamless. He even offered to detour to Prejdama Castle, which was so worth it. Overall a very good way to get around and also learn more about Slovenia and the wonderful people. Highly recommend the caves- they were absolutely awe-inspiring and still felt well off the beaten path.

5.00I was looking for details in the listings regarding Skocjan cave to decide if I will do it instead of Postojna caves since I have only one day in Slovenia. I found Day Trip from Ljubljana listing for Skocjan caves and made me decide to pick this tour since the descriptions in the listing has a lot of details. Also, being flexible to add more destinations was a plus since I need to maximize my visit. Tarun communicated with me through email and was fast and clear with his reply. He picked me up on time from where I’m staying at. He was very friendly and organized. He drove me to Postojna cave first and made in on time and gave me instructions I need where to meet right after the tour so we can catch the timetable of the Skocjan cave tour. Since I got out a little earlier, we we’re able to go to Predjama castle and he got me a great spot to take pictures! We were able to get more than 30 mins early for Skocjan cave tour so I was able to eat a burger for lunch. He briefed me well about the tour during our car ride and was able to finish the tour successfully. The Skocjan cave tour was the best, and he was right with his recommendations! By the way, Tarun even shared me a Slovenian bread made by his mother-in-law and it was delicious. Driving back to my place, he even gave me recommendations of restaurants in Slovenia and then made it to a point that we pass by them so I can see them. Price for the tour was very affordable given that it’s off-season but it also depends on a lot of other factors such as more people and number of destinations according to Tarun. All in all, my tour experience was very good! I highly recommend Day Trip from Ljubljana!
