We had the absolute best day touring Roatan with Christian! From start to finish, Christian was a wealth of knowledge about the island, and such a nice, fun guy to spend the day with. His van was clean and comfortable, and he knew all of the best places to take us. Our favorite was the sloth and monkey tour he arranged for us at AJ’s. We stopped by a chocolate factory, and then made some great suggestions for ways to spend the rest of the day. We opted for a delicious lunch at the Kimpton resort at their beachside restaurant. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the water after lunch. Christian is truly fantastic and it was one of our favorite days on our 7-day cruise. We highly recommend! Ty, Christian!!!

Everything super organized. Very friendly driver (Nick), explained a lot about the island and the people. We went to a rum, a cigar and a shock shop factory. The rum and cigar factory, however, were only tasting shops. At the chocolate factory everything was explained to you, you could look into the production room. The chocolates were sold at very high prices. Then we went to a zoo for sloths, monkeys, multipigs. Very interesting and beautiful. The keepers are very careful to make the tours pleasant for the animals. Those who wish can hold macaws themselves. In the monkey enclosure, the animals jump on the humans.

My husband and I booked this for a day our cruise ship was in port in Roatan. Darby was our guide and she was absolutely amazing! Our first stop was at AJ's where we interacted with guinea pigs, sloths, parrots, and monkeys. Everyone there was great! We then went to a newly opened coffee shop on the top of a hill that had an incredible view. We stopped by a grocery store where Darby explained how various herbs are used as natural remedies in place of medications. She also told us about some of the produce and other products that are unique to Roatan. We went to a chocolate factory that was extremely busy and Darby told the employees that she could start the presentation for them. Eventually one of the workers took over, but Darby was extremely confident in her knowledge and had no problem filling in and telling us (and others that were there) about the cacao beans. It was a rainy day, so we skipped the beach. During the drive, Darby was continuously pointing out different types of trees and sharing stories. You could not ask for a friendlier guide and it was obvious that everyone knows and loves Darby! Everywhere we went, people were so excited to see her and her love for her community was very evident. I would highly recommend booking this tour!

Intermittent air conditioning in the car! Distillery a little disappointing... we don't see anything of the process. Only rum for sale...

Juan Carlos was absolutely outstanding! We covered probably 70% or more of entire island of Roatan. Even backroad out of the way locations. Could not have been more thorough!

Wonderful adventure day! We saw so many things... we expected sloths, monkeys and butterflies but also saw some beautiful overlooks, a local grocery store, souvenir shops (and gave us advice to make good deals). We saw 2 chocolate shops and many parts of the real life of the island (schools, culture). It was a very full tour. Our only advice is to share in advance the parts most valuable to you. We were just along for the ride and was waiting for a chance to see butterflies. It was late in the day and we began asking about butterflies. To their credit, the tour guide Darby and the very skilled driver quickly made his way across the city and we barely made it (but we did get to see) the butterflies! It was such a great trip. We wish we had brought more cash for tipping (some of the souvenir shops only took cash, there were site guides within the tour (like monkey handler, sloth handler,etc.). So we didn't have as much cash at the end of the day to show the appreciation we felt. We're so glad we took this excursion instead of the large group from the cruise ship. Darby (and the driver) were fun, knowledgeable and their love for their country and culture was evident! Thank you for an unforgettable day!!

There were two of us on the road with our guide Nick. Nick gave us a wonderful day with his cheerful, open-minded nature, provided a lot of information and responded to our wishes. The island is beautiful and very, very clean. We were able to pet sloths and monkeys up close, a short stop at chocolate and rum factories was there and the stay at the beautiful (!!!) West Bay Beach. Loungers and umbrellas would have been available at the on-site restaurant for $15 p.p., but you could also sit at the table and enjoy the beach views during a reasonably priced meal. I would definitely recommend the trip with Nick from Nahomy Tours!

Perfect Roatan day! Our guide, Nick, was absolutely incredible. He was respectful, friendly, and had answers to all our questions about everything. My wife and I were dripping around in a comfortable, air conditioned van. It was just the two of us; we were not with a group. The sloths and monkeys were a one of a kind experience. We got to get up close and personal with them (and they with us). The rum and chocolate tasting came next. It was super fast and good and we were on our way to the beach. Nick recommended an amazing beachside restaurant for lunch. We had a delicious meal of red snapper, plantains, coconut shrimp, and chips and guacamole. It was a bit more than the $20 the excursion site stated, but totally worth it! We had as much time on the beach as we wanted; Nick was totally flexible in allowing us to return to our ship whenever we were ready. Highly recommend.
