Our trip to the rock of St Julian's in Byron Bay has been replaced by a shorter equivalent at the same price off Tween Heads. Larger boat, group of about 30 people, is too much. 2 guides in the water, 30 on the same turtle, qq fish, qq turtles, qq dolphins but without much interest in the end because too many and not so organized. 20mns boat go then 20mns return for 1h in the water. If you are offered to reverse the exit refuse.

We went snorkelling on the early morning boat in January and it was absolutely incredible. The guide, Scotty, was so good he was in the water constantly looking for things for us to see which was amazing. We saw manta rays, eagle rays, leopard sharks and different kinds of turtles. Was truly an incredible experience and can't recommend it enough.

My niece has never been diving, and on recommendation from a friend, decided to book this in with her to see some leopard sharks. The tour did not disappoint, it was fantastic. No stress gearing up and briefing, a lovely ride out to Julien Rocks in which we saw a big pod of bottlenose dolphins on the way out (and back), and very friendly and knowledgeable guides. The water was oh so blue. We were surrounded by leopard sharks, saw turtles and overall had a great time. Our guide had been diving here for over 30 years and it really showed. What a standard to set for a first dive!
