  Guides were very friendly. Visited the first island, great time there they had snorkels available and a volleyball court. Then took another boat ride to the natural pool (waist deep water) where you can see starfish. Then finally went to an island to see the sunken shipwreck perro chico (awesome time seeing the shipwreck with the fish). Guide gave us snorkels but it was his personal one. They didn’t stock snorkels in the boat and they are supposed to be included in the tour.

  This is advertised--and priced-- as a snorkeling tour, but clearly no one told this to the guides, who just took us to one of the islands for a few hours and then to another island for another hour, and then we went back. They did not hand out snorkeling equipment, and when we asked, there wasn't enough equipment for all the people on the boat, and what they did have was in bad shape. My partner and I had to take turns with a taped-together breathing tube, and even then there weren't really any fish to see, because we were not at good snorkeling spots. The islands are pretty, but there's a lot of trash on the beaches and in the water. It's pretty obvious that everyone gets the same tour no matter what operator or "experience" you pick, so if you're going, you should just go with the cheapest tour, and know what you're in for.

  1) It's not a snorkeling excursion, their is no snorkeling equipment and the staff knows nothing about snorkeling. 2) The real price is not advertised: once your in the middle of the country, there's a $22 extra fee, lunch is an extra $25, and the only "free" drink is 1 soda at lunch. 3) It's not a tour, it's a car and water Taxi service that transfers various passengers and supplies between different islands; this is what we spent the majority of our time doing. 4) It's not safe; the safety equipment is in poor condition when it's even there and the <12 people "tour" was an overloaded boat with 15 to 19 passengers hopping between islands to deliver supplies. There were many times that we thought we were going to sink. Overall, this is just a water Taxi system to drop you off on an island to pay expensive prices for cheap rum served in a coconut shell. TOTAL SCAM!

  Yeah the drive out is long and bumpy but honestly I’d do it again. The islands were stunning and the water at the natural pool looked fake it was so clear. Pack snacks and a towel and you’re good.

  Everyone on our shuttle ended up being super cool. We shared beers on Diablo and swapped travel tips. The boat captain was funny too and made the ride fun, even when it got splashy.

  Honestly I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much but it was a full day of smiles. Met great people and the islands are something else.

  Island was fun. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a waterproof bag! That shipwreck is wild, felt like being in a movie. Is stunning!
