Plage de Trou aux Biches
Start the day with one of the most unique experiences in Mauritius: snorkeling with wild, giant turtles! You will board a boat on the northwest coast of the island and have the opportunity to snorkel with turtles in their natural environment. These Giant Green Sea Turtles can reach up to 1.2m in length and weight up to 200kg. Apart from the turtles, you can see a variety of marine life, including different varieties of tropical fish and coral. Snorkeling gear is included (masks and tubes - fins are not allowed)! Note: Typically the swimming with wild turtles portion of the tour is done first, however this may change depending on the tides. The total time spent on the boat and snorkeling is around 45 minutes.
Plage de Trou aux Biches
After the adventure, spend some additional time exploring Trou aux Biches. This stunning beach offers great conditions for both swimming and snorkelling as it is blessed with calm water and gently shelving sands. There is an abundance of authentic street food stands, as well as a string of cafes next to the beach, so this is a great place to enjoy lunch if you're hungry.

The trip to the public beaches was fine. Unfortunately, there is not much to see there. The nicest part was Mont Choisy Beach as it has a long sandy beach. Snorkeling with turtles was nice but there were far too many people. No attention was paid to the environment at all. Tourists have trampled corals and behaved rather recklessly. Here the organizers should give more briefings on how to behave

Loved spending time on different beaches. You could determine the length of time you spent on each one. We did the swimming with the turtles last and we were the only ones on the boat which made it even more special. There was only one turtle we found but it stayed with us for the whole time we were in the water. The boat then dropped us off on our hotel beach. We really enjoyed the day. Would highly recommend if you enjoy beaches, which we do. The driver guide was really chatty and took us to a temple and church for a quick visit on the way to the beaches.

To see the turtle swim was very great but there are too many people at the same time. The beaches were beautiful to watch but not good for snorkeling. At the beaches were to many tourists for me. The driver was nice.

The product is advertised as skimming with giant turtles and four beaches. But most of the day is spent taking you to beaches nearby to each other, and then at the end a very short trip to swim with turtles. However, when we went there was one turtle as we arrived which then swam away before we had even gotten in the water. It was very disappointing and misleading to say this product is a turtle snorkelling experience. We only saw one turtle, not turtles. And we did get to swim with any turtles

Swimming with giant sea turtles was absolutely magical. Even if there are quite a few tourists, nothing beats having a sea turtle swim right underneath you or take a chomp of food right in front of you. Satya our driver took us to a few beaches beforehand and it was really nice to see some other island beaches as they were quite different from the one at our hotel. His car was very clean and he spoke really good English so it was really easy to communicate with him. Really enjoyable day!

Everything went wonderfully. The pick-up from the hotel, our driver was great and so was the transport by boat. What I didn't like at all: It was more like mass processing. About 10 boats, which is why so many people were snorkeling. A foot or a hand in the face was normal! Despite the information not to touch the turtles, some did it anyway! But they were reprimanded by the boat captain. I also thought that the boat would go further out but I could have swum from the beach. All in all it was great but too many tourists at once.

It was not written clearly that the excursion of the giants turtles last only 40-45 mins. The driver brought us to shopping in the early morning because the operator didn't have other customers, and they prefer to have more people on board. However the spot for the snorkeling is just 2 mins away from the shore of Trou aux biches ! And the prices of those shops are generally double from elsewhere, the owners are quite pushy to sell, we supposed that the driver could have his own part from the margin. Be careful to book with them.
